A concrete tank re-inforced by longitudinal bars, transverse rings 3 and coarse steel mesh 6, 7 arranged below the inner and outer surfaces respectively is coated on at least one of said surfaces with a plastics material such as an epoxide resin. The tank has an opening reinforced by three rings 14 and closed by a plate 12 and a seal 13. For other coating materials employed, dimensions and details of reinforcements the Specification should be referred to.
