[Also in Division B8] Food stuffs for battery cages for hens are delivered to and along the troughs from a hopper 10 mounted on wheels 12 by screw conveyer 16 positioned in an inclined delivery tube 14 fixed to the hopper, and the inlet to delivery tube 14 is adjusted by sleeve 32 operated at 34, the food stuff being delivered from outlet 22 by a flexible tube 24 attached at 26 to the outlet 22 by the bayonet joint shown. Alternatively the outlet 22 may be joined to three such flexible tubes 24 mounted adjustably at their attachment points. If for any reason material cannot flow freely from tube 24, the material may fall back through overflow tube 30.
