Abstract

1,211,162. Making radiators. H. HEER & CO. 26 Sept., 1968 [28 Sept., 1967], No. 45792/68. Heading B3A. [Also in Division F4] A radiator is made by welding together by their shorter sides tubes of rectangular crosssection which have had their ends cut at an oblique angle to the tube, all the tube ends being in the same plane, and then welding a channel member of the same length as the combined width of the welded tubes to the walls of the longer sides of the tubes to form a passage linking the tubes. The member may be an angle 7 of a U-shape 10 with one arm longer than the other, Figs. 3 and 4.
