Abstract

1,185,691. Endless conveyers. PNEUMATIC SCALE CORP. 22 March, 1967, No. 13530/67. Heading B8A. A pair of endless resilient conveyers 18, 20 arranged in spaced relation around a pair of driven pulleys 22, 24 to convey containers 12 therebetween each comprise a central hollow core 54 with a plurality of individual annular resilient members 56 mounted thereon in contiguous engagement. The annular members 56 are formed of a tough spongelike material e.g. urethane and rubber, and are in frictional engagement with the core 54, which is formed of a substantially non-stretchable material, e.g. rubber and fabric hose material. The ends of the core 54 receive adaptors (62), Fig. 4 (not shown), having threaded internal bores wherein a threaded coupler (66) may be inserted to join the ends of the core. The operation of the apparatus is described in Specification 821,885.
