[Also in Division F2J A wheeled vehicle has a spring unit comprising in parallel relation, a pneumatic spring including a chamber 1 of variable volume, and containing a gas under pressure, and a coil spring 10. The springs are mounted between the vehicle body and the vehicle axle, the coil spring being substantially unladen at the normal riding height of the vehicle. In the construction shown the spring unit is combined with either one of two known types of hydraulic damper. The vehicle suspension may comprise a spring unit for each front wheel and a pneumatic spring with or without a coil spring for each rear wheel. The chambers of the front and rear springs may be inter-connected by a narrow bore pipe or duct.
