Abstract

1,039,052. Valves. A. PEROSINO. Jan. 25, 1965 [Jan. 28, 1964], No. 3135/65. Heading F2V. Control of fluid flow is effected by an enlarged central part of a rubber or like diaphragm 3 having two closure parts 3a, 3b in series, which co-operate with seats 9, 10, respectively. The diaphragm is moved axially by stem 5 actuated by a rotatable lever through a pin and helicalslot mechanism. In the closed position the part 3b is deformed on to its seat 10, except where the latter is chamfered 11 to provide for the passage of water therethrough. During the valve opening movement the part 3a unseats before the other part 3b. A spring may be disposed between the closure parts.
