1,034,733. Crankcase ventilating. JOHNSON PRODUCTS INC. Jan. 9, 1963 [Jan. 22, 1962, May 10, 1962], No. 6382/66. Divided out of 1,034,731. Heading F1B. Flow of crankcase vapours to an inlet manifold is controlled by a slide valve 250 actuated by a diaphragm 246 responsive to crankcase pressure in chamber 236 and atmospheric pressure in chamber 238. The valve 250 has a lateral port 274 co-operating with the outlet 232 to the manifold and is provided with an excess pressure relief valve 266. Grooves 231 distribute manifold suction around the valve to prevent it binding against one side.
