[Also in Division G1] Respiratory apparatus supplying gas to a wearer of the apparatus through a tube 6, includes a liquid gas supply container 1, a breathing bag 3, and a carbon dioxide absorber 2, the container 1 being supported on a pivot G so that it bears on a sensing device 7 and indicates on an instrument 8 the weight of the container and hence the amount of gas available. The apparatus is provided with a locking device 15, Figure 3 (not shown) or 18, Fig. 4 (not shown) which holds the container 1 secure when a reading is not being taken. The container is double-walled, the passage between the walls being used to cool the breathing gas from the absorber 2.
