Abstract

The adaptor has a transmission element which includes an oscillating circuit a detection circuit a logic circuit and a processing circuit. The oscillator has a loop including a symmetric relaxation oscillator fed and biassed by a fraction of the current delivered by the terminal equipment. The other part of the loop consists of the primary of a transformer. Circulating through the transformer primary is a modulated alternating current. This current is the resultant of the algebraic sum of an alternating component of the oscillation frequency and a component having the polarity of the signal.
