Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production à l'état pur de vinylcyclopropanecarboxylates benzyliques substitués. Le procéde consiste à saponifier en milieu alcalin des vinylcyclopropanecarboxylates, à faire réagir les sels obtenus, sans purification intermédiaire, avec des chlorures de benzyle contenus dans la solution réactionnelle de chloration photochimique en phase gazeuse de composés benzyliques correspondants et à distiller les vinylcyclopropanecarboxylates substitués 1 sous la forme impure ainsi obtenue à une température de 100 à 300 degrés C et à des pressions allant de 10**-3 mm de mercure à la pression normale. Les composés de formule 1 sont des insecticides très efficaces.
