Abstract

The valve has a base (1) which supports equal flexible members (7) by set screws (8). The base forms the admission port (2). The flexible members are arranged to touch at the apex when back pressure on the valve is applied to the downstream side of the valve. The valve is fitted with a fixed central rib (5b) which supports the concave elements (5a) which are cylindrical in shape. This ensures an adequate pressure on the valve seat when closed.
