Abstract

An edging strip for outdoor work, especially on roofs, for fitting round chimneys, skylights etc. and for guttering, is made up in lengths in the workshop, with suitable bends to match unevenness in the surfaces to be connected and to take up expansion or movement after being secured in position by screws, nails, etc. In one form, the strip is T shaped in section, with part of the crosspiece being formed as a fold in the material, and with the vertical leg beaded over, the folds giving stiffness. The head of the T may be at an angle. In another design, the strip is L shaped in section. The vertical arm itself being stepped, and with a folded arm projecting horizontally at the step region.
