Abstract

The conveyor for pulverised or powdered material has a number of discs mounted at intervals on a cable and pulled through a tube. The discs (13) have a number of flexible elements (19) round its periphery. They are mounted between the end plates of hubs fixed to the cable by clipping a boss (16) on to the hub using an opening (17). The central portion of the disc has stiffeners (18). Because of the flexible elements and the disc being free to rotate on the cable, the conveyor does not become jammed because of too close a fit of the discs in the tube, or have poor performance because of too great a clearance.
