Abstract

Plastic-coated aluminium foil welded-seam bags for vacuum packing perishable foodstuffs, having, welded to one of the inside surfaces, a plastic-coated deformable foil not wider than the inside measurement of the bags, are produced continuously on special plant. Between the top of the foil and the open end of the bag room is left for a welded seam to close the bag under vacuum and be cut away to open it, leaving the foil to be folded over to re-seal the bag if the contents are not all used at once.
