Blue, blue/green, blue/red, red and red/blue cationic dyestuffs for dyeing polyacrylonitrile and acid-modified polyester fibres and also acid-modified polyamides shades fast to heat and light, have the formula: (where is thiazole ring opt. substd. in pos. H and/or 5, or benzthiazole ring opt. substd. in pos 6; B is an anilino gp. of formula: in which R1 is H, 1-2C alkoxy, halogen, cyano or nitro; R2 and R3 are each H, 1-4C alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, acyloxyalkyl, haloalkyl, cyano, alkyl, carbamoylalkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, or aryl, the benzene rings of the aralkyl or aryl gp. opt. contg. one or two gps. represented by R1 as substituents, n is a whole no. 1 or 2, or an indolyl gp. of formula: in which R4 is 1-4c alkyl, or alkyl or aryl, the benzene ring of the aralkyl or aryl gp. being opt. substd. by 1-2C alkyl, 1-2C alkoxy, halogen, cyano or nitro; R5 is H, 1-4C alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, acyloxyalkyl, haloalkyl, cyanoalkyl or carboxyalkyl; Z is an anion).
