Abstract
A brake-booster master-cylinder arrangement (1,2) for an automotive vehicle comprises a master cylinder (2) seated in an opening (30) of the booster housing (4,5) and (4,5), secured to a wall (3) of a vehicle by means of a single retaining element (38) acting on the master cylinder (2) and in order to achieve an arrangement as light-weight and, structurally, as simple as possible and hardly prone to disturbances the retaining element (38) is passed outside around the booster housing (4,5) and no further connecting elements are provided between the master cylinder (2) and the booster housing (4,5). Alternatively (Fig. 6) the master cylinder and booster are held against the fire wall (3) by a single bolt (65) mounted in a bracket (63) and engaging the end of the master cylinder.
