Abstract

Process for obtaining 2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino) phenylacetoxy acetic acid, known as aceclofenac, of formula I < IMAGE > based on selective reaction of the 2-tetrahydrofuranilic ester of 2-((2,6-dichlorophenyl) amino) phenylacetoxy acetic acid of formula II < IMAGE > with acetic acid, in a mixture of solvents. Aceclofenac has activity as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
