Definitions

  • Such hairdressing devices are known to those skilled in the art. It is also known that, in order for these devices to be able to function correctly and to give their users the expected result, namely a curling of a lock of hair, it is necessary to maintain and guide the lock of hair near the end of the hair. mandrel during their winding around the latter. To this end, several solutions have been proposed comprising a stop preventing the part of the lock of hair located near the end of the mandrel from rotating around the mandrel when the latter is wound up by the winder. For example documents FR2373986 or CN205612003 offer more or less flexible stops located perpendicular to the mandrel. This type of stopper effectively guides the lock of hair.
  • the object of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks.
  • An objective of the invention is to provide a styling appliance for curling the hair making it possible to achieve lasting shaping of the hair.
  • Another objective of the invention is to provide a styling appliance for curling the hair which is inexpensive, simple to design and to manufacture.
  • Another objective of the invention is to provide a hairdressing appliance for curling hair which is particularly safe and harmless to the user.
  • Another objective of the invention is to provide a hairstyling device for curling the hair which is particularly ergonomic, intuitive and simple to use.
  • Another objective of the invention is to provide a hairdressing appliance for curling the hair which is particularly robust and reliable.
  • pin is meant a protuberance which extends longitudinally, such as for example a tooth, a point or a lug.
  • distal end is meant the end of the mandrel which is located at a distance from the hand of the user who holds the hairstyling appliance, as will be detailed below.
  • the lock of hair is placed between these different pins prior to its winding around the mandrel in order to prevent its rotation around the end of the mandrel and to allow its winding to be guided, in particular by fixing the lock in rotation near its root. This way, the lock of hair cannot roll up on itself.
  • the retention and guidance of the lock of hair is improved when the latter is wound around the mandrel.
  • this plurality of pins makes it possible, in the manner of a comb or a brush, to distribute the hair into small strands and to disentangle the latter. In fact, the lock of hair is evenly distributed and cannot twist on itself.
  • the plurality of pins also allows the simultaneous and homogeneous winding of all the hair around the mandrel, thus avoiding the appearance of knots during winding.
  • said immobilization device comprises at least three pins, preferably at least 10 pins and advantageously between 15 and 20 pins.
  • the lock of hair is then placed by the user between these pins and this quantity of pins also makes it possible to exert a slight tension on the lock of hair, prior to its winding around the mandrel which significantly improves the shaping of the lock of hair.
  • each of the pins extends longitudinally between a base integral with said distal end and a top over a length of between 5 mm and 25 mm and preferably between 10 mm and 15 mm.
  • the plurality of pins as well as a sufficient length of the latter remarkably prevent the lock of hair from unexpectedly leaving the immobilizer.
  • the mandrel extends along a longitudinal axis and each of said pins extends along a first longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel, said first longitudinal axis passing through the center of said apex and the center of said base .
  • top is preferably meant the free end of each pin and by base is preferably meant the part of the pins which is in contact with the mandrel.
  • each of said pins extends in the same direction as the mandrel.
  • This configuration thus makes it possible and easy to remove the lock of hair from the mold without presenting any obstacle or resistance.
  • at least one of said pins and preferably each of said pins has a cross section which decreases from their base towards their top, which further makes it possible to facilitate the release of the lock of hair, in the manner of a corpse in a mold.
  • the base of each of the pins is a circle and the pins are therefore in the form of a cone or a truncated cone.
  • the tops of said pins are arranged coplanar in a plane forming an angle with the longitudinal axis of the mandrel other than 90 °.
  • this angle is between 85 ° and 60 ° and preferably equal to 75 °.
  • the mandrel comprises a heating element designed to heat the lock of hair when the latter is wound around the mandrel so as to permanently fix the shaping and allow loops to be obtained.
  • the mandrel comprises a cap made of thermal insulating material, said cap forming the distal end.
  • each of the pins is made of polyphenylene sulphide so as to present an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, thermal resistance and relative flexibility.
  • said device comprises a housing containing said mandrel.
  • said mandrel but also preferably all of the components of the winding device is contained inside the case, which makes it possible to have a particularly compact device, safe for the user and robust. as long as the moving parts are protected by the housing.
  • the housing comprises an upper opening and a lower opening interconnected by a facial opening.
  • said upper and lower openings each comprise a slot or a notch. Said upper, lower and facial openings then allow the user to penetrate his lock of hair inside the housing so that it can be automatically caught by the winder and wound around the mandrel, according to an operating mode known as such.
  • said spikes are located inside said housing and inside said facial opening.
  • none of the pins protrude from the housing.
  • said upper opening extends longitudinally from said facial opening along an upper longitudinal axis
  • said lower opening extends longitudinally from said facial opening along a lower longitudinal axis
  • said mandrel extends along a longitudinal axis and said axes upper longitudinal, lower longitudinal axis and longitudinal axis of the mandrel are disposed coplanar in a plane of symmetry of the apparatus.
  • the respective axes of the upper opening, the lower opening, the facial opening and the mandrel are all aligned on the same plane which advantageously passes through the middle of the apparatus and which constitutes a plane of symmetry of the device.
  • the lock of hair can pass through the housing of the device by passing through the device for immobilizing the hair and more precisely by passing through the plurality of pins.
  • the plurality of pins as well as the lower and upper openings then make it possible to guide the lock of hair when it is wound around the mandrel.
  • At least one of said first longitudinal axis of the pins is disposed coplanar in said plane of symmetry of the device, that is to say is preferably aligned with the 'longitudinal axis of the mandrel, with the lower axis and with the upper axis.
  • at least one of the pins is disposed on the median plane of the device containing the axes of said upper, facial and lower openings.
  • median plane is advantageously meant a plane of symmetry of the apparatus.
  • the apparatus comprises a housing 1, that is to say an envelope, intended to contain various components of the apparatus, and in particular a mandrel 21 as will be detailed in figures 5 to 9 .
  • the housing 1 is hollow and comprises a free end 14 which is advantageously intended to be oriented substantially perpendicularly. with the user's head, and more particularly with his scalp at the time of the curling operation.
  • the section of said housing 1 is substantially oval.
  • the housing 1 forms inside a winding chamber 26 intended to accommodate the lock of hair, before its shaping, in an external (or upper) chamber 262, then after its shaping, in an internal chamber (or lower) 261, as will be detailed later and as can be seen on the figures 5 to 9 .
  • the housing 1 comprises an upper opening 11 which extends from the free end 14 of the housing 1 towards the interior of the housing 1.
  • the upper opening 11 comprises a slot or a notch whose length is between 10mm and 50mm, preferably between 20mm and 40mm and is advantageously substantially equal to 30mm.
  • This upper opening 11 is designed to accommodate the lock of hair, in particular when the free end 14 is placed substantially perpendicular to the user's head.
  • the upper opening 11 is placed against the scalp of the user so as to be able to accommodate the lock of hair.
  • the housing 1 also comprises a lower opening 12 which extends from the free end 14 of the housing 1 towards the interior of the housing 1.
  • the lower opening 12 comprises a slot or a notch whose length is greater than the length of said upper opening 11.
  • the length of the lower opening 12 is between 50mm and 120mm, preferably between 50mm and 90mm and is advantageously substantially equal to 80mm.
  • the latter comprises at least one rectangular section.
  • said lower opening 12 is in the form of a T-shaped notch reversed from the free end 14. The particular shape of this notch makes it possible, quite particularly when the lock of hair is placed in the “small bar” of the T , to keep the lock of hair at the bottom of this lower opening 12, and to optimize the guiding of the latter during its winding.
  • said upper 11 and lower 12 openings are then interconnected by a facial opening 13.
  • the upper 11, lower 12 and face 13 openings together form an opening making it possible to receive a lock of hair and to guide the latter during its winding around the mandrel.
  • Said facial opening 13 comprises a blind hole made from the free end 14 of the housing 1 and connecting said upper 11 and lower 12 openings.
  • the apparatus also includes a handle 3 attached to said housing 1 designed to allow a user to hold the apparatus in his hand.
  • the housing 1 extends from the handle at a slight angle.
  • the housing 1 is neither perpendicular (right angle of 90 °) to the handle nor completely in the extension thereof (flat angle of 180 °).
  • the axis of the housing 1 forms with the axis of the handle an angle substantially equal to 160 °. Thanks to this angle, the ergonomics of the device is optimized since it is possible for the user to apply the housing 1 and in particular the upper opening 11 against his head, so that the free end 14 is substantially perpendicular to his head, while holding the device by the handle 3 and this while leaving his wrist in a natural position.
  • the device also comprises a trigger 4 intended to control the setting in rotation and / or the stopping of the device and in particular the setting in rotation and / or stopping of a motor 23 as will be detailed by after.
  • This trigger 4 preferably extends over substantially the entire length of the handle 3 thus facilitating its activation by any finger of the hand or even by all the fingers.
  • the apparatus further comprises one or more control buttons 5 allowing the user to adjust various parameters of the apparatus, such as, for example, by way of illustration and without limitation, to select the direction of rotation of the motor 23, the temperature of the mandrel 21 or also the length of time the lock of hair is kept heated around mandrel 21.
  • said control buttons are located on the side of handle 3 and are separate from trigger 4.
  • the apparatus comprises a winding device 2 designed to automatically wind a lock of hair and allow the creation of loops.
  • the winding device 2 comprises a mandrel 21, or winding drum, which extends longitudinally between a proximal end 211 advantageously attached to the housing 1 or to the handle 3 (that is to say an end situated close to of the user's hand) and an advantageously free distal end 212 (that is to say an end located at a distance from the user's hand).
  • said mandrel 21 is of cylindrical shape.
  • the mandrel 21 is fixed and advantageously comprises a heating element 214, for example of the PTC type. It is in fact known that a heating mandrel makes it possible to improve the shaping of the hair and in particular to produce curls.
  • the mandrel 21 comprises a cap 213 made of thermal insulating material, said cap then forming the distal end 212.
  • the winding device 2 also comprises a winder 22 configured to wind a lock of hair around the mandrel 21 during its rotation in a predetermined direction
  • the reel 22 is hollow and has a shape of revolution.
  • the reel 22 is positioned coaxially around the mandrel 21.
  • This reel 22 has a first longitudinal end 223 which is secured to a toothed wheel 242.
  • This toothed wheel 242 meshes with a worm 241 which is driven in rotation by a motor 23, which makes it possible to drive the rotation of the reel 22.
  • the direction of rotation of the motor 23 is advantageously reversible, which makes it possible to reverse the direction of rotation of the reel 22.
  • the motor 23, the wheel toothed 242 and the worm 241 constitute a preferred method of designing means for driving in rotation 24 of the reel 22, other variants remaining possible without departing from the scope of the invention.
  • the reel 22 preferably has a conical shape which extends in expansion towards the distal end 212 of the mandrel 21.
  • the reel 22 comprises a notch 221, or cutout, which extends over its surface of revolution and which opens onto a free edge 2241 at a second longitudinal end 224 of said reel 22.
  • This notch 221 preferably comprises a shape trapezoidal, other shapes remaining possible, for example a more or less cylindrical or oval shape.
  • the reel 22 may have a surface of revolution of cylindrical rather than conical shape.
  • the reel can also be in the form of two wings which would extend from the first longitudinal end 223. Two hooks 222 are arranged vis-à-vis in the extension of the free edge 2241, at the two ends of the 'notch 221.
  • the notch 221 is positioned in the extension of the lower opening 12, such as 'illustrated in figures 6 to 8 , which allows to introduce the lock of hair in the notch 221 of the reel 22.
  • the rotational drive of the reel 22 then allows one of the two hooks 222, depending on the direction of rotation of the motor 23, to grab the wick to start winding it.
  • the lock of hair will then pass from the external (or upper) chamber 262 located between the external surface of the winder 22 and the internal surface of the housing 1 to the internal (or lower) chamber 261 located between the internal face of the winder 22 and the outer face of the mandrel 21, passing through the notch 221 of the winder 22.
  • the apparatus also comprises a hair immobilization device 25 disposed at the distal end 212 of the mandrel 21.
  • This hair immobilization device 25 comprises a plurality of pins 251 projecting from the end 212 of the mandrel 21.
  • This immobilizer 25 has several functions. First of all, the immobilization device 25 enables the guiding of the lock of hair during its winding so as to prevent the lock from rotating around the end of the mandrel 21. In addition, this immobilization device 25 allows the curly lock to be released from the mold without damaging it. When the winder 22 is rotated, the latter carries the lock of hair which remains guided on one of the pins 251 of the immobilization device 25, forcing it to wrap around the mandrel 21. The direction of the loops produced therefore depends on the direction of rotation of the reel 22. However, a single direction of looping could be provided without departing from the scope of the invention.
  • the figure 9 shows a detailed view of the hair immobilization device 25.
  • Said immobilization device 25 comprises at least three pins 251, preferably at least 10 pins and advantageously between 15 and 20 pins.
  • the immobilization device 25 comprises 17 pins evenly distributed over the distal end 212 of the mandrel 21.
  • the multitude of pins makes it possible to optimize the retention and the guidance of the drill bit during its winding.
  • the end of the mandrel 21 can then be likened to a brush which would make it possible, quite remarkably, to disentangle the hair beforehand before they are curled and to avoid knots when making the loops.
  • Each of the pins 251 extends longitudinally between a base 2511 integral with said distal end 212 and an apex 2512 over a length of between 10 mm and 15 mm. In other words, the length of the pins 251 varies between 10 and 15 mm. Indifferently, the length of each of the pins 251 can be uniform or on the contrary vary without departing from the scope of the invention.
  • Each of said pins 251 extends along a first longitudinal axis Lp parallel to a longitudinal axis L M of the mandrel 21, said first longitudinal axis Lp passing through the center of said apex 2512 and the center of said base 2511. The cross section of each of said pins 251 decreases from their base 2511 to their top 2512.
  • each pin 251 is a circle. According to this embodiment, each pin therefore has a shape of revolution, and in particular a cone or truncated cone. We could of course imagine other shapes such as pyramidal, parallelepipedic, cylindrical, etc. without departing from the scope of the invention.
  • the vertices 2512 of the pins 251 are arranged coplanar in a plane Pp forming an angle ⁇ with the longitudinal axis L M of the mandrel 21 other than 90 °, advantageously between 85 ° and 60 ° and preferably equal to 75 °. In other words, not all pins 251 have the same length, as can be seen on the figure 5 .
  • the length of the pins varies progressively, from a maximum length for the pins 251 located near the upper opening 11 substantially equal to 20mm to a minimum length for the pins 251 located near the lower opening 12 substantially equal to 15mm. This decrease in the length of the pins 251 from the upper opening 11 towards the lower opening 12 makes it possible in particular to grip and guide the bit from its base (that is to say near its root).
  • Each of the pins 251 is made of polysulphide of phenylene (PPS), this material exhibiting remarkable properties, and in particular mechanical strength and thermal resistance.
  • PPS polysulphide of phenylene
  • the temperature of the pins does not exceed 70 ° C while the temperature of the mandrel is generally between 160 ° C and 230 ° C.
  • said pins 251 are located inside said housing 1 and inside said facial opening 13.
  • the immobilization device 25 is completely located inside the housing 1 while remaining accessible. to the user through said upper 11, lower 12 and facial openings 13.
  • This construction makes it possible to protect the immobilization device 25 and in particular the pins 251 and to limit the risk of breakage in the event of the device falling.
  • the risk of burns and injury to the user in the event of incorrect handling of the device is also reduced insofar as no sharp element protrudes from the housing 1 of the device.
  • This alignment of the different openings allows the user to penetrate the lock of hair that he wishes to shape inside the box 1 and then place the box 1 close to, or even in contact, with his head, and more precisely with his scalp.
  • the figures 1 and 2 show that at least one of said first longitudinal axis Lp of the pins 251 is aligned with the longitudinal axis L M of the mandrel 21, with the lower axis L I and with the upper axis Ls.
  • at least one pin 251 is aligned with the axis of said upper 11, lower 12 and face 13 openings and with the longitudinal axis L M of mandrel 21.
  • the lock of hair will therefore necessarily encounter an obstacle, in this case at least one pin 251, so that the lock of hair will not be perfectly straight between said upper opening 11 and said lower opening 12.
  • the lock of hair is not perfectly aligned with the median plane of the apparatus, that is to say the plane passing through the longitudinal axis L M of the mandrel 21 and through the axes of the upper 11 and lower openings 12. Consequently, when the lock of hair is caught by one of the hooks 222 of the reel 22 as explained above, it begins to wind around the mandrel 21. Therefore the lock of hair slides inside the various openings e t rubs against at least one pin 251, and advantageously against several, which has the effect of exerting a slight traction on the lock of hair. This traction makes it possible in particular to disentangle the hair and to smooth the lock of hair. In other words, a mechanical treatment of the tension type is applied to the lock of hair prior to its winding around the mandrel 21.
  • the user After having grasped the device in one of his hands by the handle 3 of the device, the user orients the device so that the free end 14 of the housing 1 faces upwards. Then, the user positions the device against his head, and more preferably places the upper opening 11 against his scalp. So that the free end 14 is found substantially perpendicular to the user's head. Then, the user introduces a lock of hair between the reel 22 and the mandrel 21. More precisely, the user introduces through said upper 11, lower 12 and facial 13 openings a lock of hair inside the housing 1. of the device. The lock of hair thus passes through the housing 1 entering the housing 1 through the upper opening 11, through the facial opening 13 and out through the lower opening 12.
  • the lock of hair is thus positioned in the reel 22, more exactly in its notch 221 and is therefore found between the reel 22 and the mandrel 21.
  • the user will also position the lock of hair between the pins 251 which will in particular have the effect of properly guiding the lock in rotation, in particular to prevent it from rotating around the end of the mandrel when it is being wound up.
  • the user will be able to rotate said reel 22 in a predetermined direction, in particular using a control button 5 (for example to select the direction of rotation of the motor 23 and therefore of the reel 22) and / or the trigger 4 to set the motor 23 and therefore the reel 22.
  • the reel will then grip the bit and according to a process known as such, automatically wind it around the mandrel 21.
  • the guiding of the lock during this automatic winding is then remarkably optimized in particular because the lock slides, under the effect of the winder 22, between the pins 251 of the device 25 for immobilizing the hair. .
  • This passage between the pins 251 makes it possible, as was detailed previously, on the one hand to exert a slight traction on the hair, which makes it possible to disentangle them, to keep them taut, and to avoid any risk of knots during automatic winding, and on the other hand to correctly guide the hair to prevent them from twisting or turning around the end of the mandrel 21.
