Definitions
- the present invention relates to a safety glove, especially for the size of the vine.
- a glove comprising at least one outer skin or skin, a lining, and at least one, preferably a plurality of rigid protective elements each disposed between skin and lining at one end of a finger of the skin.
- glove to protect at least the last phalanx of a finger of a hand inserted into the glove, the or each protective element affecting the shape of a sheath extending substantially coaxially to the finger of the glove, said blind said sheath having an at least partially closed end adapted to form a limit stop of a finger of a user introduced into said sheath by the open opposite end of said sheath.
- Some tasks such as the size of the vine, are practiced using tools, in this case here pruning shears, electric, pneumatic or hydraulic, more and more powerful, so that the risk of finger injury are more and more important. Similarly, some handling tasks generate a significant risk of crushing fingers.
- An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a protective glove whose design is adapted to withstand the power of cutting tools such as secateurs.
- the subject of the invention is a safety glove, especially for the size of the vine, said glove comprising at least one outer skin or skin, a lining and at least one, preferably a plurality of rigid elements of protection each disposed between skin and lining at one end of a finger of the glove, to protect at least the last phalanx of a finger of a hand inserted into the glove, the or each protective element affecting the shape of the a sheath extending substantially coaxially with the finger of the glove, said so-called blind sheath having an at least partially closed end adapted to form a limit stop of a finger of a user introduced into said sheath by the opposite end; open said sheath, characterized in that the tubular body of the sheath is delimited by a wall of non-constant thickness between the open end and the at least partially closed end of the fourrea u.
- the sheath in the form of a variable thickness of the entire length member, it is possible to increase the length of the sheath to cover at least two phalanges of the finger without significantly increasing the weight of the sheath.
- the thickness of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath is, on the open end side of the sheath, greater than the thickness of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath, at least partially closed end end of said sheath, to prevent crushing of the mouth of the sheath during a grip or vise said sheath.
- the outer face of the wall of the tubular body of the sleeve develops from the at least partially closed end of the sleeve towards the open end of the sleeve extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve and then deviating from said longitudinal axis of the sheath.
- the outer face of the sleeve flares open end side of the sheath, giving said sheath, in particular to its tubular wall a generally outer cone shape.
- the inner face of the wall of the tubular body of the sleeve extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve and the cavity defined by the sleeve is a cylindrical cavity having a circular contour so that no protrusion does not night at the introduction of the finger into the sheath.
- the increase in the thickness of the wall of the sheath is therefore effected by the outside and not by the inside of the sheath.
- the safety glove 1, object of the invention is more particularly intended to be used during the size of the vine.
- the user wears a safety glove, according to the invention, at the hand holding the vine, while the other hand holding the pruner is equipped with an unprotected glove.
- the purpose of safety glove 1 is to prevent the user from cutting the fingers that hold the vine with the pruner held by the other hand.
- This safety glove 1 comprises, in a conventional manner, at least one outer coating, also called skin 2, and an inner lining of the skin.
- Skin and lining define, in the manner of a traditional glove, five sheaths corresponding to the passage of the fingers, and called fingers of the glove, and a space for housing the back and the palm of the hand, with which the sheaths or fingers glove communicate.
- This glove 1 also comprises at least one, preferably a plurality of rigid protective elements each disposed between the skin 2 and the lining at one end of a finger of the glove to protect at least the last phalanx of a finger. a hand inserted in the glove 1.
- Each protective element has the shape of a sheath 3 extends coaxially to the finger of the glove.
- the lining comes to coat the inner face of the sheath 3, while the skin extends on the outer face of said sheath 3.
- This blind sleeve 3 also has an end 4 at least partially closed capable of forming a limit stop of a finger of a user introduced into said sleeve 3 by the opposite end 5 of said open sleeve.
- the tubular body of the sheath 3 is delimited by a wall of non-constant thickness between the open end and the at least partially closed end 4 of the sheath 3.
- the sheath of the sleeve type is an element delimited by a body tubular which forms the casing of said sheath.
- This tubular body as the sleeve is said to be blind, and it is closed at least partially at one end while the opposite end of said body through which the finger of a hand can be introduced into the sheath is open.
- the sheath 2 can therefore be likened to a blind tubular sleeve.
- Each sheath 3 thus has a diameter inside allowing the introduction of a finger inside said sheath.
- each sheath is made of metal, such as an aluminum alloy.
- the thickness of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath 3 is, on the open end side of the sheath 3 greater than the thickness of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath 3, at least partially closed end end 4 of said sheath 3, to avoid crushing the mouth of the sheath 3 during a grip or vise said sheath 3.
- the variation of the thickness of the wall between the open end of the sleeve and the blind side of the sheath is between 1.0 and 1.1 mm.
- the outer face 6 of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath 3 develops from the at least partially closed end 4 of the sheath 3 in the direction of the open end of the sleeve 3, extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sheath and then departing from said longitudinal axis of the sheath 3.
- the outer face 6 of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath 3 forms, with the longitudinal axis of the sheath 13, in the region of the sheath in which it deviates from the longitudinal axis of the sleeve, an angle between 7 ° and 9 °, preferably close to 8 °. This angle has the same value as the angle ⁇ shown in the figures.
- the inner face 7 of the wall of the tubular body of the sheath develops from the at least partially closed end 4 of the sheath 3 in the direction of the open end of the sheath 3, extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sheath .
- the sheath delimits a cylindrical inner cavity with circular section, while outwardly this sheath flares open end side conferring on the assembly a general conical appearance.
- the end 4 of the sheath 3 adapted to form a limit stop of a finger of a user introduced into said sheath by the open opposite end 5 of said sheath 3 is a rounded end 4 delimited by a concave wall provided with a through axial bore 8, the concavity of the wall being turned towards the inside of the sheath 3.
- This axial bore 8 distributes the excess glue between the liner and the sheath.
- a glove has five protection elements, namely one per finger, three of the protection elements being identical.
- the protection elements of the thumb and the little finger are distinct from the other protective elements.
- the sleeve 3 constituting the thumb protection element comprises, open end side 5 of said sleeve 3, an opening plane forming with the longitudinal axis of said sleeve an angle other than 90 °. Generally, this angle is close to 65 °. This configuration makes it possible to better adapt to the morphology of a wearer. The bias obtained grows along the width of the thumb.
- each sheath 3 has a length at least equal to half the length of a thimble, preferably between one-half and two-thirds of the length of a thimble, so that to spread substantially on the last two phalanges of the finger of a hand introduced into the glove.
- each protective element between lining and skin To secure and secure positional positioning of each protective element between lining and skin, the lining and the protective element or elements are secured to one another by gluing.
- said glove is equipped with at least one, preferably a plurality of reinforcements 9, each reinforcement 9 being in the form of an attached insert, preferably by stitching, to the skin 2 side Palm of the hand.
- the glove is a leather glove whose back is in bloom and the palm in bloom.
- the protective elements are made of metal, such as an aluminum alloy.
- the lining is made of 100% cotton.
- the protection elements generally have a length of between 38 and 45 mm for the glove fingers corresponding to the index finger, the middle finger and the ring finger, and an internal diameter of between 19 and 24 mm depending on the sizes with a wall thickness. which varies between 1.8 mm blind side and 2.8 mm open end side.
