Description

The invention relates to a magazine for a handgun according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a magazine is from the US 4,413,437 B which forms a basis for the preamble of claim 1.

Another such magazine is from the DE 44 32 192 C1 known. There, a feeder is arranged in a magazine housing, which has on its underside a spring support for the upper end of a magazine spring. The lower end of the magazine spring rests on a spacer, which is held by a magazine bottom fastened to the bottom of the magazine housing. The magazine bottom includes two upwardly projecting legs with outwardly projecting projections which engage in the mounting position of the magazine bottom in corresponding recesses on the flat sides of the magazine housing. The spacer is inserted between the two legs of the magazine bottom and has on its underside a pin-like extension for engagement in a corresponding hole in the magazine bottom. In this known magazine, the pin-like extension must first be pressed for disassembly of the magazine bottom and thereby the spacer can be raised before the two projecting through the recesses projections on the two legs to release the lock of the magazine bottom can be pressed inward. This magazine design requires due to the additional spacer an increased number of items and also requires a larger footprint. In addition, a lot of skill is needed to assemble and disassemble the magazine.

There are also already known magazines in which the connection between the magazine housing and the magazine bottom via special connecting webs on the magazine housing and an associated T-groove takes place on the magazine floor. However, this type of connection is technically complex and associated with correspondingly high costs.

The object of the invention is to provide a magazine of the type mentioned, which is simple and inexpensive to produce and can be easily disassembled or assembled.

This object is achieved by a magazine having the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments and advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

A significant advantage of the embodiment of the invention is that the items are easy to prepare and the assembly and disassembly can be considerably simplified. The recesses in the magazine housing may e.g. can be simply stamped into the magazine housing without complex forming processes. Also, the magazine bottom may be used as an injection molded part e.g. be made of plastic easily and inexpensively. The magazine bottom may also consist of metal or be designed as a plastic-metal composite part, in particular, the resilient tab is made of metal or may have metal inserts or reinforcements.

Another advantage of the embodiment of the invention is that the magazine can be easily assembled and disassembled when needed. Through the approaches with the corresponding recesses and the resilient tab an easy-to-use snap closure is formed, which nevertheless ensures a secure mounting of the magazine bottom on the magazine housing.

In an expedient embodiment of the invention, a holder for the lower end of the magazine spring is provided on the resilient flap of the magazine bottom. This can ensure that the magazine spring does not pop out when removing the magazine bottom and is lost. The holder for the lower end of the magazine spring can also be provided on another part of the magazine bottom. Conveniently, a corresponding holder for the upper end of the magazine spring is also attached to the feeder. The magazine bottom can then be assembled or disassembled together with the magazine spring and the feeder as a unit.

The magazine of a handgun shown in Figure 1 comprises a sheet metal or injection molded part, e.g. made of plastic or metal or designed as a plastic-metal composite part magazine housing 1, which has at the upper end correspondingly shaped magazine lips 2 for holding a required for the loading upper cartridge. The magazine lips 2 are shaped such that the uppermost cartridge can be pushed out obliquely upward from the magazine housing 1. At the lower end of the magazine housing 1 a separately illustrated in Figure 2 magazine bottom 3 is removably attached.

Within the magazine housing 1, a feeder 4 shown in FIG. 4 is displaceably guided. By a clamped between the bottom of the feeder 4 and the inside of the magazine bottom 3 magazine spring 5 of the feeder 4 is pushed upwards. From the feeder 4, the cartridges, not shown here are guided in a known manner up to the magazine lips 2.

As is apparent from Figures 1 and 4, the magazine housing 1 at the lower end of the straight rear end wall 6 has two spaced-apart rectangular rear recesses 7. At the lower end of the rounded front end wall 8, two spaced apart slot-shaped front recesses 9 are also provided according to Figure 3, which extend over the rounded corners.

The magazine bottom 3 shown separately in Figure 2 includes a bottom plate 10 with an open at the back and rounded front edge 11. At the rounded front part of the rim 11 inwardly projecting lugs 12 are provided for engagement in the slot-shaped openings 9. On the bottom surface 10 are also two spaced protrusions 13 with rearwardly projecting lugs 14 to Engaged engagement in the rectangular recesses 7. In the bottom plate 10, a resilient tab 15 is further provided, which has on its front side a contact surface 16 for abutment against the inner wall 17 of the magazine housing 1. On the upper side of the resilient tab 15 is a holder 18 in the form of an eyelet or the like. Formed for hanging the lower end of the magazine spring. The resilient tab 15 is formed by a U-shaped slot 19 which is incorporated in the bottom plate 10. Also on the underside of the feeder 4 is a corresponding - not shown - eyelet or other suitable holder for the upper end of the magazine spring 5 is provided.

To assemble the magazine described above, the feeder 4 connected to the magazine base 3 via the magazine spring 5 must be inserted from below into the magazine housing 1. Then, the magazine bottom 3 against the force of the magazine spring 5 has first slightly offset laterally forward pressed against the bottom of the magazine housing 1 and then moved backwards so that the front lugs 12 and the rear lugs 14 in engagement with their respective recesses 9 and 7 in the magazine housing 1. In this case, the resilient tab 15 snaps in and prevents, with the voltage applied to the inner wall 17 of the magazine housing 1 contact surface 16 that the magazine bottom 3 is moved from its mounting position.

To disassemble the magazine, only the resilient tab 15 must be raised down so that the contact surface 16 is disengaged from the inner wall 17 of the magazine housing 1. Then the magazine bottom 3 can be pushed forward again and removed from the magazine housing 1 together with the magazine spring 5 and the feeder 4. For easier lifting of the tab 15, this may have on its underside a groove or a peripheral projection into which e.g. can be intervened with the edge of a cartridge.
