Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical contact element, in particular as Pin contact or socket contact trained contact element with a Plug-in area and a connection end for connecting an electrical Conductor.
Such a contact element, which is usually of an insulating housing is surrounded, is required to make an electrical connection between an electrical conductor and a terminal end of an electrical pin contact or a socket contact, but no special tool is required.
To connect electrical conductors to a contact element are a number from connection principles known in the art, such as by soldering Screw connections, by cage clamp connection or by crimp connections.
From DE 199 14 308 A1 is an electrical terminal assembly with a Housing known in which at least one terminal for an isolated Conductor or a stripped conductor with at least one cutting element and at least one spring element is provided.
The disadvantage is that different connection principles, such as z. B. soldering in industrial connection technology steadily due to the Effort is pushed back that screw connections as well as cage tension spring connections have a relatively large space requirement, and crimp connections each require special tools.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a contact element of form the aforementioned type such that at least one already in use contact element with a crimp or Screw connection easily against the contact element according to the invention replaced or replaced, with this connection technology at least comparable contacting data, such as contact resistance and gas-tight connection points between an electrical Head and a contact element can be achieved as in a crimp connection, but without the special tool such as a crimping tool to need.
This object is achieved in that a sleeve on the terminal end Applicable is that the sleeve is punched out of its wall, in the Has sleeve interior directed spring arms, and that the spring arms in immerse a hole in the terminal end of the contact element.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are in the claims 2-5 specified.
The advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that such formed as a pin or socket contact contact elements their outer contours to existing and in use Connector systems are adapted and thus older versions with a crimp, screw or solder connection are provided, easily replaced can be, with no special tool is needed. In addition, with this type of fastening almost identical ladder pull-out forces as achieved with a screw connection.
Furthermore, it is advantageous that the connection cross section of the electrical conductors for the contact element according to the invention comprises a larger range of variation than is possible with a crimp connection; Thus, a total cross-sectional areas of 0.5 to 2.5 mm 2 can be connected.
By forming a sawtooth thread at the connection end of Contact element is the wedge action applied to the electrical conductor the tips of the spring arms advantageously in addition to a rotational movement optionally also achievable by an axially latching effect of the sleeve. Due to the wedge effect of the spring arm tips is also a vibration and realized safe mounting technology for the electrical conductor.
