Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Abgasrückführleitung (6) für Brennkraftmaschinen. Bei der Abgasrückführung an Brennkraftmaschinen für Fahrzeuge bereiten die Raumprobleme Schwierigkeiten. Einerseits benötigt die Abgasrückführleitung (6) zusätzlichen Bauraum und andererseits bereiten die Temperaturprobleme in dem zusätzlich beengten Bauraum Sorgen. Erfindungsgemäß wird daher vorgeschlagen die Abgasrückführleitung (6) in einem der stirnseitigen Zylinderköpfe (1) anzuordnen, derart, daß die Abgasrückführleitung (6) den Kühlwasserraum (7) quer zur Längsrichtung der Brennkraftmaschine durchdringt. Das rückzuführende Abgas gelangt also von der Abgasleitung (2) durch die vom Kühlwasser umströmte Abgasrückführleitung (6) zur Ladeluftleitung. Dadurch wird eine eigene Abgasrückführleitung eingespart, das Abgas wird gekühlt und es wird jegliche Abstrahlung von Wärme in den umgebenden Raum vermieden, so daß evtl. Brandgefahr durch Wärmestau ausgeschlossen werden kann.

The invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation line (6) for internal combustion engines. The space problems present difficulties in exhaust gas recirculation on internal combustion engines for vehicles. On the one hand, the exhaust gas recirculation line (6) requires additional installation space and, on the other hand, the temperature problems in the additionally restricted installation space cause concern. According to the invention, it is therefore proposed to arrange the exhaust gas recirculation line (6) in one of the front cylinder heads (1) in such a way that the exhaust gas recirculation line (6) penetrates the cooling water chamber (7) transversely to the longitudinal direction of the internal combustion engine. The exhaust gas to be returned thus passes from the exhaust gas line (2) through the exhaust gas recirculation line (6) around which the cooling water flows to the charge air line. This saves a separate exhaust gas recirculation line, the exhaust gas is cooled and any radiation of heat into the surrounding space is avoided, so that a possible fire hazard due to heat build-up can be excluded.
