Abstract

Ein sanitäres Mischventil, insbesondere Thermostatventil, weist in an und für sich bekannter Weise ein als metallisches Gußteil ausgebildetes Ventilgehäuse (1) auf. Von einer Kaltwasser-Einlaßbohrung (2) des Ventilgehäuses (1) führt ein Kaltwasserweg zu einer Vereinigungsstelle von Kalt- und Warmwasser, welcher das Warmwasser über einen in dem Ventilgehäuse (1) vorgesehenen Warmwasserweg zuströmt. Um zu verhindern, daß sich das Ventilgehäuse (1) durch das Warmwasser zu stark erwärmt und an der Oberfläche Verbrennungen des Benutzers möglich sind, wird der Warmwasserweg zumindest überwiegend durch einen von Mischwasser durchströmten Raum (15) geführt. Im Falle eines Thermostatventiles liegt die angesprochene Vereinigungsstelle von Warm- und Kaltwasser innerhalb eines in einen Aufnahmeraum (5) des Ventilgehäuses (1) eingesetzten Thermostatgliedes.
