Definitions
- the invention is directed to one or both connecting parts of one two-part electrical connector, the connecting parts of two have mutually complementary housing.
- One housing takes electrical contact parts, such as socket contacts, and is with a plug section provided that in the coupling case in a receiving section of the other housing is insertable. Because of its plug function this should Housing of the connector is referred to as "connector housing”.
- the other housing assigned to it has a complementary receiving space for the plug section of the connector housing, which is why it is below should be called “socket housing” for short. This applies in the case of a coupling Plug housing with its plug section in the receiving section of the socket housing, which is why these mating ends of the Both connecting parts are referred to below as “coupling ends” should.
- the socket housing is used to hold electrical mating contact parts, e.g. B. in the form of plug contacts.
- the associated housing has at least two pairs of counter-contact parts side by side, axial housing chambers, in which the each an electrical line connected contact or counter contact parts, from the side facing away from the coupling end of the housing, into the Housing chambers are introduced.
- the axial partition between the Housing chambers have the task of the two contact parts against each other isolate.
- the housing of the known connector can have sealing problems bring out locking means for that of the contact parts in result in the housing chambers.
- a movable across the housing chambers Latch with profiled openings in two positions in the housing can be locked.
- a first locking position which is referred to as the "pre-locking position”
- the opening profile of the bolt is the opening cross-section adapted to the housing chambers and allows the aforementioned axial insertion of the contact parts.
- the “final locking position” the latch moves with its opening profile locks into the housing chambers and engages behind the contact parts radial shoulders.
- the mating contact parts are in the final locking position fixed in the housing chambers, which is why they are no longer pull out of the housing chambers in the opposite direction to their insertion movement to let.
- the invention has for its object to provide a well-shielded from the outside, inexpensive electrical connector which in the preamble of Claim 1 to develop the kind that is convenient, reliable Reversal movement of a locking the counter-contact parts in the die part Slider allowed and still saves parts and space is trained.
- This is according to the invention by the in the characteristic of Claim 1 measures achieved, the following special Importance.
- the one located between the two housing chambers axial partition the additional new function, namely as a slide to lock the inserted contact parts.
- the additional new function namely as a slide to lock the inserted contact parts.
- This detachable Part of the axial partition wall is hereinafter referred to as "partition wall piece" be named.
- the partition wall piece has locking elements for the Contact parts radial protrusions.
- the partition wall piece is namely shifted parallel to the wall on the inner surfaces of the recess and the recess only needs a sufficient recess height to show. Is the partition wall axially into the axial recess been inserted, it is then moved perpendicularly to over the pre-locked position, shifted to its final locked position become.
- the recess advantageously has an opening profile, the bounding one Wall parts already in the pre-locking position of the partition piece Cover radial projections at least in some areas towards the receiving space.
- the housing with the partition wall piece fixed in its pre-locked position then forms a prefabricated unit from captive, positionally secured Parts that can be delivered as a commercial product.
- the locking position of the partition piece narrows its radial projections not clear cross-section of the housing chambers, which is why the customers of these units even insert the contact parts into the housing can.
- Customers can choose the type and shape of the contact parts themselves and individually determine the electrical lines connected to it.
- To secure the defined axial position of the contact parts in the housing chambers The customers only need the partition wall piece from the coupling end from, e.g. B. from the recording room to move laterally until the Final locking position of the partition piece becomes effective. Only then grab the radial projections of the partition piece lock behind the radial shoulders of the inserted contact parts.
- the electrical connection consists of two couplable ones Connecting parts 10, 20, which, as Fig. 1 shows, both in terms of their electrical contact parts 11, 21 on both sides and also with respect to one another to be inserted coupling sections 14, 39 of their housings 13, 30 are complementary to each other. Any contact or counter contact part 11, 21 is connected to the conductor via a crimp connection or the like associated electrical line 12 or 22 connected in the coupling case of the two connecting parts 10, 20 electrically connected to one another in pairs should be.
- the housing 13 of the one connecting part 10 has as a coupling section a plug section 14, which, in the housing 30 of the other connecting part 20 a receiving section 36 with a is accordingly assigned profiled receiving space 31.
- plug section 14 Because of its plug function due to the plug section 14 is intended to be the housing of the first connecting part 10 in the following briefly “connector housing", however that of the second connecting part 20, because of the socket-like there Receiving section 36, abbreviated to "socket housing”.
- the contact part in the plug housing 13 advantageously consists of a socket contact 11, while the mating contact parts 21 in the socket housing 30 are designed as plug contact parts 21 which with a pin end 23 in protrude into the receiving space 31 there.
- the receiving space 31 is by a transverse to the longitudinal axis 33 of the housing 30 of FIG. 1
- the appearance of the bottom wall 32 is from the front view of the socket housing in Fig. 3, where openings 35 for passage the connector pins 23 can be seen.
- Through the bottom wall 32 is the housing 30 in the wide coupling portion 36 and a rear portion 34 structured. This rear section 34 of the socket housing 30 is radially offset from the preceding front section 36.
- the two connecting parts engage in the coupling case 10, 20, the plug housing 13 with its plug section 14 in the Receiving space 31 of the socket housing 30.
- the connector housing 13 can, for better sealing, a coat recognizable from Fig. 1 15 have, which encloses the plug section 14 in the radial distance. Between the jacket 15 and the plug-in section 14 form an annular space, in which the receiving portion 36 of the socket housing 30 of the other Connecting part 20 can penetrate.
- the electrical contact points are on all sides to the outside shielded. If necessary, can also between the housings 13, 30 rubber seals are still used.
- the connecting part 20 which, as can be seen from the exploded view of FIG. 2 is, apart from the counter-contact parts 21, only two further components consists, namely the already mentioned, one-piece socket housing 30 and a specially designed slider 40, which, as can be seen 7, the function of an insulating partition 38 in the socket housing 30 met.
- the partition 38 namely separates in the rear section 34 two axial housing chambers 37 lying parallel to one another, which each serve to insert the counter-contact parts 21.
- the Bores in the housing chambers 37 are stepped axially.
- this connecting part 20 as evidenced by the end view of the fully assembled connecting part 20 of FIG. 6, a four-pole connecting part provided with four pin ends 23 20 is.
- the partition wall piece 40 is initially divided into a flat wall part 41, a U-shaped guide rail 43 on its upper longitudinal edge 42 has, which is widened relative to the thickness of the wall part 41.
- the opening profile of the associated axial recess 50 accordingly comprises as can be seen from the front view of FIG. 3, one of the Thickness of the wall part 41 from the partition 40 adapted vertical Slit 51, the, compared to the height 44 of the partition wall section shown in FIG. 4 40 determines a greater height 54 of the axial recess 50. 3, the axial recess 50 has at its top Slot end 52 a channel-shaped corresponding to the outline of the guide rail 43 Extension 53.
- the wall portion 41 with a widened, but axially extending control pin 45 which extends over the outer edge 49 of the wall surface 41 extends and one in use control function to be described in more detail finally fulfilled.
- On the opposite inner edge 48 has the partition wall piece 40 two radial projections 46, 47 arranged at a distance from one another which correspond to the Height difference between the two above-mentioned pairs of Housing chambers 37 corresponds.
- the axial recess 50 has correspondingly in these areas enlarged axial channel parts 56, 57. This leaves the following, from Fig. 2 and 5 recognizable assembly of the socket housing 30 with the partition wall piece 40 to.
- Fig. 5 is a "plug-in mounting position" of the partition 40th before, which is determined by the contour 61 in Fig. 5.
- This contour line 61 should by the respective position of the upper longitudinal edge 42 of the partition 40 be determined.
- this partition wall longitudinal edge 42 slidably at the upper slot end 52 of the housing-side axial recess 50, which then serves as a guide surface serves if the partition wall piece 40 in the sense of that shown in FIG. 2
- Insert arrow 17 from the inside of the receiving space 31 of the socket housing 30 is inserted into the axial recess 50.
- the upper slot end 52 has an axial extension on the inner surface of the receiving section 36.
- An axial insertion of the partition piece 40 in the axial recess 50 is possible for the following reason.
- the radial projections 46, 47 lie in the opening profile the previously described extended channel parts 46, 47, as well as the widened one Guide rail 43 from the partition wall section 40 shown in FIG. 3 channel-shaped extension 53 lies.
- the vertical slot 51 forms together with the extensions and extensions 53, 56, 57 an insertion channel, which can be seen up to that from FIG. 2, but also from FIG. 9 Recess base 59 of the axial recess 50 extends. Behind this Recess reason 59 begins, as shown in FIG. 9, the partition fixed to the housing 38.
- the insertion 17 of the detachable partition 40 is then ends when its inner edge 48 on the recess base 59 to the plant is coming.
- This insertion position of the partition wall piece 40 ' is dash-dotted in FIG. 2 illustrated. In this inserted position, as at 16 'in Fig. 2, the control pin can be seen in the receiving space 31.
- the above-described height position 61, which can be seen in FIG. 5, of the partition wall piece 40 can also be supported by resting positions. So owns the partition wall piece 40 latching-locking parts 18, which can be seen in FIG. 2 and 4, in the present case radially, on both sides of the guide rail 43, are arranged and each consist of a latch. As related Locking counter-locking parts serve two ribs 28, 29, which are adjacent Determine recesses. These recesses define the Latch 18, the respective height of the partition 40 in the axial recess 50. The two locking ribs 28, 29 are on the rear inner surface the channel-shaped extension 53 is formed in the socket housing 30. The aforementioned "plug-in mounting position" of the partition 40 results the fact that the latch 18 there above the first locking rib 28 is arranged.
- the partition piece can now 40 parallel to its axial wall part 41 in the sense of that shown in FIG. 5 Cross movement arrow 19 are moved.
- the axial recess is used here 50 as a guide for the partition wall piece. This is because of the lesser Height 44 of the partition wall piece 40 compared to that shown in FIG. 3 Axial recess height 54 possible. 5 recognizable lower longitudinal edge 45 is at a large height distance 64 from the corresponding one lower slot end 55 of the axial recess 50.
- the transverse displacement 19 of the partition wall piece 40 is advantageously carried out fully automatically. This is done using an assembly tool, which is already the axial one Insert movement 17 has completed.
- This tool exercises in the sense of 6 a defined displacement, the to a deformation of the cooperating locking-locking or counter-locking parts 18, 28 leads.
- it reaches the part of the partition 40 located locking lug 18 in the locking groove between the two Locking ribs 28, 29 of the housing.
- the partition wall piece 40 has closer with its lower longitudinal edge 45 moved to the lower slot end 55, which is why now only one medium height distance 65 is given.
- This prepared assembly 60 can now, as with reference to FIGS. 6 and 7 can be seen by the customer with the desired mating contact parts 21 and the selected electrical lines connected to it 22 can be equipped.
- the counter-contact part 21 is in its from Fig. 7 apparent dash-dotted, axial end position 21 'brought by Stops in the area of the bottom wall 32 to the coupling end 69 of the housing 30 out is fixed.
- resilient tongues provided on the contact part engage 25 behind undercut bevels 58, located on the inner surface the longitudinally profiled housing chamber 37. This is the axial position of the contact parts 21 to the rear end 39 of the housing 30.
- Openings 35 in the bottom wall 32 are, as best shown in FIG. 3, too recognize smaller openings 71 is provided. These breakthroughs 71 arise when tools are inserted into an injection molding machine of the housing 30 serving mold to inside of the housing chambers 37 the undercuts mentioned in the run-up slopes 58 to generate.
- a sealing ring 26 On the electrical line 22 in the area of Mating contact part 21 is a sealing ring 26 which, according to 1, the clear opening of the housing chamber 37 to the rear end 39 of the socket housing 30 seals.
- the one mentioned also takes axial control pin 16 a defined height in the receiving space 31st one with a complementary control recess that is not recognizable in the housing 13 of the other connecting part 10 of FIG. 1 axially is aligned.
