  • the working faces of the tools described so far have a planar shape; it is possible to give the working faces any desirable shape as a function of the hair treatment operation that it is desired to perform; for example, as shown in FIG. 31, the treatment area of the working face may have undulations 313 arranged axially with respect to the tool, that is to say transversely with respect to the drill bit hair to be treated; of course, the movable jaw also carries undulations, of a shape complementary to that of the undulations 313 of the fixed jaw, the undulations of one jaw fitting into the undulations of the other jaw.
  • Pliers such as the tool 20 of FIG. 30 can be used in the following sequential manner: after being pinched between the jaws provided with waves, the lock of hair is subjected to a current of vapor and to a current of air suction, simultaneously, for a few seconds; then, the steam flow is stopped and the wick is only subjected to the flow of aspirated air which cools it; the air flow is stopped, the clamp open and the lock of hair released.
  • the treatment area of the working faces of the tools has dimensions, and in particular a length, determined by construction so that it can treat a large sheet of hair; however, it is not always possible to cover said zone over its entire length, taking into account the various widths of the layers of hair to be treated; so that the distribution of the treatment fluids is as homogeneous as possible, that the treatment zone is entirely or partially covered with hair, the invention provides for adapting the pressure drop, through the distribution holes, to the fluid which crosses and in particular at its pressure; thus, and this is visible in the figures, the vapor being distributed under high pressure, having regard to the other fluids distributed, such as blown or sucked air, the "steam" holes are smaller than the "suction” holes; good results have been obtained, as for the homogeneity of the distribution of the vapor, when the pressure drop across the "steam” working face was greater than 0.05. 10 ⁇ 3 bar, for example equal to 0.1.10 ⁇ 3 bar.
  • the diversity of tools combined with the various possibilities of the generator can lead to using the same channel for different fluids; it is also possible to use the same channel in one direction, or in the other, for example by pushing steam under high pressure in one direction, or by sucking air in the other direction; the invention provides, in such a case, to provide such a channel with different pressure drops depending on whether it is used in a one way or the other.
  • An exemplary embodiment is shown in FIG.
  • the channel 400 shown in section in this figure has a cylindrical wall 406 traversed by radial orifices 401 distributed circumferentially; two semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 lining the cylindrical wall 406 internally, covering the orifices 401; the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 are made of relatively elastic material and are fixed to the cylindrical wall in the middle, along a generatrix, as shown in 404, 405; the semi-cylindrical walls 402, 403 are traversed by holes 407 of smaller diameter than that of the orifices 401.
  • the assembly according to the invention may also include a device for filtering the fluids conveyed making it possible to absorb odors, excess products used in working the hair, reaction by-products, or to condense certain vapors thereby avoiding their condensation in the place where the hair is worked, especially on window panes.
  • the same distribution channel can also be used in the same direction by two different fluids: for example, hot air and steam being rarely used simultaneously for the same tool, the assembly can be arranged so that steam and l air can pass through the same distribution channel when one of the hot air or steam fluids is used.
