Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of selectors of paper sheets, in particular banknotes bank, which can be introduced in automatic machines capable to recognize them, to validate them and to treat them in the part of a transaction.
- the selector includes a drive device the ticket located at an entry channel. These measures usually triggered by a detection system the introduction of the ticket in a mouth. These measures drive may include one or more rollers, or another central belt. The authentication tests are usually in a second part of the selector, located after the inlet channel.
- a transport system brings the tickets in the second part of the selector. So that this verification procedure is done correctly it is tickets need to line up specific. This alignment is evaluated with respect to a face of reference against which comes one of the edges of the ticket.
- the recognition and authentication device located in second part of the selector can for example analyze the grain paper, its watermark, color, and printed patterns. If the left edge of the bill does not coincide with the face of reference, the transport system brings the ticket in a inadequate layout and recognition device, in its attempt to compare the ticket with the models whose characteristics have been stored in memory at cannot recognize or validate the ticket and the can then wrongly reject it.
- the mouthpiece is generally wider than the ticket introduced by the user. This generally results in a risk of bad alignment of the banknote relative to the reference face, which causes the disadvantages described above.
- rollers for driving the ticket.
- These rollers can be the same as those of drive device mentioned above, themselves driven by a motor which is started when one or several detection systems, for example coupling a emitter and receiver of a light line, placed across from the mouth, detect the ticket that the user is trying to introduce.
- detection systems for example coupling a emitter and receiver of a light line, placed across from the mouth, detect the ticket that the user is trying to introduce.
- the axis of rotation of these rollers is in principle perpendicular to the direction of the reference edge; however, some of these pebbles may rotate around a axis slightly offset from this direction, so to press the biller against the reference edge.
- the document GB-A-2,063,830 describes an example of such a device.
- a unique drive means to move forward the ticket without trying to align it with the reference side.
- This system can also be used to transport the ticket in the second part of the selector. We then choose to train the ticket by making support on this strap on the most frequently folded part of the bill when kept in a wallet because this area always more or less damaged lends itself badly to operations of paper grain recognition, and other optical tests authentication that take place in this second part of the selector.
- a reception party arranged upstream of a transport device has a guide extending parallel to the direction of transport. At least one detector is provided in the guide region, which detects the material inserted and which controls the drive of the transportation; it puts the transport device in movement only when one side of the inserted material is detected by pressing along the guide.
- the apparatus includes a flat bench on which the check is moved in the spacing direction of letters, and a print head mounted on a support that can cross the surface of the flat bench in the line spacing direction.
- a detector detects the presence of a check on the bench and means are provided for simultaneously returning the check on the bench in the spacing direction letters and remove the check by pushing it transversely to the direction of flipping as soon as it reaches an alignment wall.
- the check is in contact at the top with conical removal rollers and its part lower with counting support rollers retractable.
- a sensor on the head support can be positioned (by crossing the support) to detect the various sides of the check during alignment and printing, for through which the operation of the device is controlled.
- the counter support roller is retracted, and the rollers alignment are driven differently in rotation, in opposite directions, as they return check and push it against the alignment side.
- a sheet which is biased by hand into an interface sheet introduction is brought into contact with a probe after passing the sheet between a pair of oblique rollers.
- the insertion of the sheet is stopped by a plate preventing insertion.
- a solenoid is activated after a set time delay by a clock, and a rotating element is released to move near the plate preventing insertion and to catch the sheet between oblique rollers.
- the sheet is pressed into the direction of the lateral guide by the oblique rollers which correct the oblique introduction of others trainings.
- the present invention proposes to remedy these disadvantages for the object selectors of the preamble of the claim 1, by the means described in part characterizing this same claim.
- the system proposed by the invention aims to check whether the alignment of banknotes inserted in a automaton is correct.
- the means of verification are based on the use of a plurality of detectors judiciously placed in the channel of introduction of tickets.
- these detectors are two in number, located proximity to the reference face of the introduction channel.
- the distance between these two detectors is chosen slightly less than the length of the smallest banknote for which the selector is provided, i.e. whose second part of the selector has the characteristics stored in memory. This way, the ticket is only accepted for routing to the second part, for its authentication, only if it activates both simultaneously detectors at a given point in time means action ticket training.
- a specific warning signal will be issued when means of verification conclude that the alignment is not performed correctly.
- This signal may give rise to the display a message understandable by the user, warning him the reason why his ticket is rejected and bringing him to introduce it more carefully on its next attempt. This message makes the device less offensive to users and increases acceptance by these users.
- At least one of the detectors comprises a contact electric which is closed at rest in the absence of a ticket, and that the ticket opens in its path.
- At least one of the detectors comprises at least one transmitter a line of light coupled to a photoelectric receiver.
- the interposition of the ticket hides the line and the receiver thus detects the presence of the ticket.
- Figure 1 shows the part of an automaton where a ticket 1 is introduced, top view.
- Input channel 2 has two side faces 3 and 4.
- Side 3 serves as reference for the alignment of the ticket 1.
- a roller 5 whose plane makes an angle between 10 ° and 15 °, for example, relative at direction 11 of entry channel 2, acts on ticket 1 when it comes up to it.
- Figure 2 shows a front view of the mouth of the selector in figure 1.
- Ticket 1 is pinched between roller 5 and plane 13 of the input channel.
- This roller 5 is driven by a motor not shown and rotated so that the bill advances in the direction indicated by the arrow 11.
- In channel 2 is find two photoelectric receivers 7 and 8 lit by the 2 light emitters 9 and 10, for example diodes electroluminescent, whose rays are perpendicular planes 12 and 13 of the inlet channel 2.
- the distance between the photoelectric sensors 7 and 8 is shorter than the length of the smallest ticket 1 treat.
- These photoelectric receivers 7 and 8 are found very close to the reference face 3.
- the ticket 1 When the user introduces his ticket 1 into the mouth 14 of the inlet channel 2, the ticket 1 is driven by the roller 5 and, because of the inclination of the plane of the roller 5, is pushed against the face of reference 3.
- Ticket 1 gradually aligns against the face 3 as it progresses. He is coming a time when ticket 1 interrupts the light rays received by photoelectric receivers 7 and 8. So that the ticket 1 is correctly aligned, at some point given the two photoelectric sensors 7 and 8 to be masked at the same time by ticket 1. If this condition is not met, this means that ticket 1 has not well aligned in input channel 2.
- a logic circuit or microprocessor not shown here receiving signals from two photoelectric receivers 7 and 8 then provides a signal which causes the rejection of ticket 1 which is finally returned.
- Figures 3 and 4 show a second example of implementation involving a contact electric as detector.
- a flexible tongue 15 is shown in its position at rest, in the absence of a ticket, in Figure 3. Sound end 16 is bent upwards to avoid any bracing of the end of the ticket against this end, in case the ticket goes through channel 2 in the direction of the mouth.
- Figure 4 shows how the ticket 1 cuts the contact between the flexible tongue 15 and a contact 17 which is flush with the plane 13. The flexibility of the tongue 15 is chosen such that the ticket can lift easily its end 16.
- the invention represents a simple, effective and inexpensive, which makes it possible to be sure that the tickets introduced are perfectly aligned before being routed to the right control and authentication.
