Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for mixing liquids or mixtures of substances with different consistencies according to the preamble of claim 1.
Devices for mixing liquids with one another or mixtures of substances with different consistencies of the type mentioned at the outset are already known. In these mixing devices, another liquid is mixed into a liquid flowing in a pipeline via a nozzle system. Especially in the case of highly viscous liquids, there is the possibility that one or more nozzles in this system become blocked and thereby impair the mixing quality, even if the same amount of liquid is mixed in by the still open nozzles by means of a metering pump.
For example, DE-AS 10 66 544 describes a device for mixing liquids with one another or mixtures of substances with different consistencies in a fixed, tubular housing having a pipeline with a shaft that runs around it and is designed as a hollow shaft. The shaft is arranged perpendicular to the axis of the pipeline, mounted in the housing and driven by a motor and has holes in its part in the pipeline that serve as nozzles. The liquid supplied through the bores of the hollow shaft can be combined and mixed with the liquid flowing in the pipeline.
With this device, liquids can be intimately and evenly mixed with one another or substance mixtures with different consistencies as long as the holes in the pipeline serving as nozzles can be kept open. Since this is not always possible, especially with highly viscous liquids, even with a relatively large amount of work, because one or more nozzles can become blocked, the mixing quality is undesirably impaired, even if the same amount of liquid is mixed in by the metering pump through the still open nozzles . This disadvantage is also not substantially remedied by the fact that eccentrically arranged rings produce a corresponding eccentric rotational movement during the rotation of the shaft designed as a hollow shaft, although in addition to the centrifugal flows of the material flow which arise, a number of flows are also formed in the most varied of directions.
From DE-AS 10 79 001 a continuous mixer for mixing two or more components with one arranged in the train of a pipeline is mechanically attached driven mixing and conveying device known. The continuous mixer essentially has mixing chambers with mixing elements, the axial inlets of which for the respective additional component take place through feed lines which in turn lead for the additional component into the axial inlet of the mixing elements. The mixing elements are driven by a shaft held in bearings, with a mixing pump, screw or propeller downstream of the mixing elements to increase the conveying effect of the material to be mixed.
With this continuous mixer, mixing components can be mixed very intensively and the mixture itself can be pumped on, but its construction is quite complicated and takes up a lot of space. Thus, in order to achieve intimate mixing, the material to be mixed passes through two mixing stages, with the engagement of a screw between the two stages still being recommended, particularly in the case of highly viscous media, but this slows down the mixing process overall and makes it unnecessarily expensive.
The device has a driven solid shaft with a hollow shaft arranged thereon, on which a number of vanes are provided, which generate a negative pressure when the hollow shaft rotates on its rear side, so that the medium located in the hollow shaft through the holes from it a pipe is sucked out with a flowing medium.
With this device, the required vacuum can be provided as long as the holes in the hollow shaft are open and the vanes arranged on the hollow shaft produce for the escape of the medium located in the hollow shaft through the holes in the medium in the conduit, a mixing process between two liquids can be easily effected, but the mixing is particularly problematic when highly viscous liquids are to be fed to another medium with this device, because As a rule, the holes in the hollow shaft clog up quickly and the blades can then no longer generate the necessary negative pressure. Apparently this device is also not intended for such a purpose, especially since it is expressed in the publication that this device is particularly well suited for introducing a gas, for example air, into a liquid, for example water.
Patent 4,427,489 discloses an apparatus and method for mixing a medium, e.g. chlorine or oxygen gas, with a suspension such as e.g. crushed cellulose material, known. The device has a pipeline in which a circular disk provided with nozzle openings and taking up almost the entire cross section of the pipeline can be rotated by means of a hollow shaft, the hollow shaft extending through a stuffing box attached to the pipeline to a bearing and drive device for the shaft . Via a passage with at least one opening in the hollow shaft, the suspension obtained from a container is introduced through the hollow shaft into the circular disk with the nozzle openings, from where portions of the suspension enter the pipeline and can be swirled uniformly with the gaseous medium with low power consumption are.
With this device, media, whether liquid or gaseous, can be swirled or mixed evenly with low power consumption, however, mixing of a highly viscous liquid with another liquid medium is hardly possible in this device, since the nozzle openings provided in the circular disk would quickly clog up and a constant mixing quality could therefore no longer be guaranteed.
A dosing chamber is used for this purpose, in which flowing water and flowing concentrate are brought together and mixed. The metering chamber is located in the central area of a tubular jacket with a lateral flange, through the bore of which water can be conducted to the metering chamber located inside the jacket. A stamp with an internal thread can be inserted into the tubular jacket, a packing between the stamp and the jacket ensuring mutual sealing. A liquid polymer can be conveyed to the metering chamber through a central channel provided inside the stamp. At the upper end of the stamp there is a dosing head with a distribution chamber. A compression spring provided in the distribution chamber presses a steel ball against an opening of the central channel, so that a backflow prevention valve is thereby formed. When the liquid polymer is pressed into the central channel, the steel ball lifts up from its mouth so that the liquid polymer can flow into the distribution chamber, then distribute itself over supply channels and flow through these into an annular water channel within the metering chamber. Downstream from the dosing head, strong turbulent vortices are formed, in which the liquid polymer injected into the water in the water channel can again be swirled strongly with the water.
With this device, it is possible to inject a liquid polymer into a rapidly flowing water stream and thereby swirl the two components vigorously, even with changing dosage ratios, as long as the feed channels remain open. However, since such liquid polymers have a high viscosity, the feed channels clog relatively quickly with this component and have to be cleaned in a time-consuming manner. Even when the feed channels are clogged, the function of the backflow prevention valve is no longer guaranteed.
The invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a device for mixing liquids or mixtures of substances with different consistencies, with which even when a highly viscous liquid is mixed with another liquid, clogging of nozzles or channels is avoided and a uniform distribution of the liquid to be mixed is achieved should, so that a constant mixing quality can be achieved.
This object is achieved with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
The advantages achieved by the invention consist essentially in the fact that a nozzle head arranged on a hollow shaft rotating or oscillating in a pipeline is provided with a nozzle device which has a nozzle or a nozzle valve, in which even when a highly viscous liquid is added, there is no longer any blockage is possible because the pressure of a metering pump then rises until the nozzle or the nozzle valve are open again. Since the other components are the same as in FIG. 1, apart from a
The
The
The
When the supply of the liquid to be mixed is stopped, the
