Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of footwear, in which the upper leather is first cut, prepared, sewn to the shaft and provided with a toe and rear cap, then the lower edge of the shaft and the edge of a shell sole are roughened together adhesive parts of the shaft and shell sole are cemented and finally the shell sole is placed on and pressed against at least the toe and heel. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the method.
The production of shoes with shell soles today comprises approximately seventeen operations. First the insole is stapled, then the rear cap is molded in, assigned to the last and the tip is pinched. After activation, the sides and finally the heel are pinched. The bottom and the sides are roughened in separate steps, then the bottom and sides are cemented. Now the cement has to be activated and the shell sole has to be set. Then the bonding surfaces are pressed and dried. Finally the shoe is finished, the cuts are cleaned, the shoe is finished and the insole is inserted.
In the known method just described with a large number of work steps, the wage share in the production costs is high. Another disadvantage of traditional shoe manufacturing is the relatively high percentage of leather for the lasting, for which about 30% of the upper leather is used. However, since the demand for leather has not only increased in the shoe industry, but also the best leather is increasingly being used in automobile construction and in the manufacture of upholstered furniture, but the production of rawhides has not increased to the same extent, there is a considerable need for manufacturing processes for shoes which do not require a lasting wedge.
There has been no shortage of attempts in the past to make shoes without a lasting change. For example, DE-OS 2360249 shows a method in which the sole is molded directly onto the upper leather. For this purpose, the shaft is first fully molded before the sole is molded on. The shaft is then placed on a molding that acts as the upper part of an injection mold and fixed by means of Niederhattem and inserted tightly into a sole mold designed as a lower part of the injection mold Zwickrand appropriate shaft edge required so that the desired saving in leather does not occur. In addition, the manufacture of the sole requires a so-called spray bar, which is normally not divided and therefore cannot be used to tension the upper to size. This known method can be used to produce heel-free shoes, so-called clogs.
Another attempt to produce insole-free shoes is shown in DE-AS 2342304. Here the tip area is shaped by a corresponding cutting of the leather and the subsequent sewing. This gives the tip of the shoe a less attractive shape. In addition, the shaft must be fixed in the tip and heel area of the last with the help of domes. However, these domes are a hindrance when they are carried out, since at least they can damage the lining, but possibly also the leather. In addition, the special tip shape considerably restricts the modeler's freedom of design. According to DE-OS 26 1 8 1 83, the upper leather is to be glued to a raised shaft edge of the sole and, if necessary, sewn on. However, there is no teaching as to how the essentially flat leather of a shoe or boot could be attached to the outsole, especially in the area of the toe. This method is therefore at best suitable for the production of strap sandals.
The rear cap is finally formed on a two-part, adjustable press mold, but the front cap is only preformed so that it connects to the leather and is prepared for the subsequent lasting process.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von Schuhwerk der eingangs genannten Art anzugeben, welches ohne Zwickeinschlag und ohne Zwickvorgänge arbeitet, wobei die verbleibenden Arbeitsvorgänge weitestgehend maschinell und teilweise sogar automatisch ablaufen, wobei der fertige Schuh jedoch sowohl im Aussehen, als auch in der Haltbarkeit sich nicht von einem herkömmlichen Schuh unterscheidetThe present invention has for its object to provide a method for producing footwear of the type mentioned, which works without a lasting twist and without lasting operations, the remaining operations being largely automated and sometimes even automatic, but the finished shoe both in appearance and nor does it differ in durability from a conventional shoe
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of
This has the advantages that approx. 30% of upper leather material can be saved and that the number of work steps is considerably smaller, so that in addition to the material component, the wage component in the manufacturing costs is drastically reduced.
To increase the durability of the connection between the sole and the shaft, an additional seam can be attached according to an advantageous development of the invention. This seam can also be designed as a seam.
Da nur noch während dieses letzten Verarbeitungsschrittes Leisten benötigt werden, kann deren Zahl erheblich verringert werden, wodurch sich ein weiterer Rationalisierungseffekt ergibtAccording to a special development of the invention, after the upper and the sole of the shell have been glued together, the shoe can be damped under excess pressure, then inserted, dried and re-lined. The cushioning of the shoe is particularly recommended for leather shoes, which get their final, performance-related shape through this final process. Since strips are only required during this last processing step, their number can be significantly reduced, which results in a further rationalization effect
It is also possible to glue the insole to the shell sole.
As already mentioned, the manufacturing method according to the invention runs largely mechanically or automatically. As a result, a number of devices are required to carry out the invention, which are used in individual manufacturing steps and at this point guarantee the cost-effective and qualitatively flawless manufacture of the footwear.
The most important and, at the same time, the greatest saving is the machine with which the shaft, which has been properly prepared in the tip area, is clamped to size. This device comprises two partial shapes corresponding to the last, onto which the shaft preformed in the tip can be placed. A tip pressure molding presses the preformed shaft in the tip against the front part shape, whereby the leather is held firmly in place, but leaves the cemented edge of the shaft free. The heel area of the upper is pressed with the aid of a heel pressure molding, the rear cap being pressed and shaped at the same time. Here, too, the cemented edge of the shaft remains free. Finally, additional pressure fittings are used to press the adhesive surfaces after placing the prepared shell sole on the tensioned and fixed shaft in order to create a perfect adhesive connection. The partial molds or the pressure moldings can be heated.
According to an advantageous further development, the partial forms with which the shaft is tensioned and the contact moldings with which the shaft is fixed or the adhesive surfaces are pressed are pneumatically driven. The manual operations only consist of putting on the shaft, putting on the shell sole and removing the glued shoe.

Fig. 4 shows the
The tip is preformed in a special tip molding machine which has, for example, an upper, lower and middle shape, the contours of which correspond to the contour of the last. These forms are covered with abrasion-resistant material which has a certain elasticity and thus enables a compensation of different leather thicknesses.
Fig. 5 shows the most important process step and (in a schematic representation) the device used for this. The

After gluing and, if necessary, sewing, the shoe is dampened in a pressure chamber (not shown), the leather becoming supple and malleable in a short time. For the first time a last is used in the steamed shoe. The listed shoe is dried in a drying device, the leather taking on its final shape. It retains this shape even after it has been finished.
The final steps consist in completing the finish and inserting or gluing in an insole.
