ergeben.Metal vessel with ring closure With the metal vessels executed so far
with ring closures, the one that receives the closure parts is made of flat or profiled
Band produced one- or multi-part ring bed z. B. by single or double
Interlocking attached to the vessel jacket in such a way that it protrudes into the interior of the vessel.
This has the disadvantage that the contents of the vessel are normally not completely emptied
can be. The remnants remaining in the vessel can only be removed by a laborious process
Handling to be removed. However, there is no such thing as a thorough cleaning of the vessels
Guaranteed. It settles especially in the joints behind the inside of the vessel
The protruding ring bed part has residues that endanger the subsequent filling of the vessel
result.
A ring bed attachment has already been proposed
which .das ring bed is flush with the inside of the vessel. This is a one-piece
Ring bed used, the lower cover abutment of which an extension to the outside
which is enclosed by the edge of the vessel in the manner of a simple interlocking
will. The edge of the vessel must then be pulled out over the entire width of the ring bed,
plus the part that is necessary for the interlocking. Such is practical
Ring bed attachment not possible because of the relatively thin vessel material
an undressing .des. Vessel rim of such extent does not allow and already during
the processing of the destruction is subject to. A ring bed attachment through a
simple interlocking also does not produce the required strength of the bolt head.
After all, there can be no question of a tight connection, so that
the same applies to the liquid tightness requirements placed on such vessels
is not enough. To achieve a tight connection of the ring bed with the
Vessel rim - the well-known double-fold connection has already been used. Here
the continuation of the upper ring abutment is doubled from the outside with the edge of the vessel
crimped. However, this connection requires the ring bed to protrude into the interior of the vessel
with the disadvantages already mentioned. The distortion of the continuation of the ring abutment
When the ring bed is made from tape material, it requires a double stacking
of the abutment material. Due to the increased fabric consumption and the cumbersome
Deformation of the ring bed increases the manufacturing costs to a considerable extent.
Encountered the difficulties mentioned, the invention by
that. the part of the ring bed forming the inner cover abutment is extended
and the extension with the. extended part b 'of the vessel jacket
by
unites a double-seam connection lying parallel to the container axis
is. The double folds formed in the process are perpendicular to the axis of the vessel jacket
close to the lower abutment leg of the ring bed and result in a solid
and completely .tight connection, while at the same time satisfying the requirement that
the ring bed is flush with the interior of the vessel. The rim of the vessel only needs in
to be pulled out to the extent usual for folded joints, and a strong one
Stress or even destruction of the vessel and ring bed material is completely excluded.
The production of the ring bed experiences compared to the known design for a
Doppelfalzverbindungen_mit the edge of the vessel a significant simplification by adding the
necessary in the case of the known interlocking of the continuation of the upper annular abutment
Double storage of the material for the ring abutment is eliminated. It is with that
in addition to lowering the manufacturing costs for the ring bed, a saving
Material costs reached. The double fold connection can also be made in such a way that
place the double folds close to the vessel jacket; simultaneously through one
Part of the lower cover abutment are covered from above so that they are with the
Close the ring bed flush inside the vessel.
There is a substantial advance achieved by the invention
in the now practically feasible manufacturing possibility of metal vessels
with a ring bed flush with the inside of the vessel. This is for such vessels
complete emptying and perfect cleaning is guaranteed.
Abb.
` Abb. I
In the drawing, some exemplary embodiments for metal vessels with a ring closure according to the invention are illustrated by cross-sections of the vessel closure head. The ring bed is designated with a, the vessel jacket with b and the lid with c. Figs. I to IV show a ring bed attachment in which the extension c of the lower lid abutment e is folded twice with the vessel jacket b. The double folds lie perpendicular to the vessel jacket axis b close to the abutment leg e of the ring bed a. In the embodiment .according to Fig. V, the double folds c, b 'lie close to the vessel jackets b, with part of the abutment leg e covering the fold connection and securing it. `Fig. I shows an embodiment in which the one-piece ring bed a is formed from a flat band. The locking device is protected here by a head ring f known per se in its design.
Bei der Ausführung nach Abb. II ist das Ringbett aus keilförmigem
Bandstoff hergestellt.
I verwendete Kopfring

erreicht werden, wie dies in Abb. IV gezeigt ist.Fig. IV shows an embodiment in which the ring bed a is in two parts
is designed, the protective head tire f at the same time the upper ring abutment
gives away. Although a double seam connection is always liquid-tight, it can
at higher internal pressure by inserting a seal g an improvement, the sealing
can be achieved as shown in Fig. IV.
