Der Abstand zwischen dem bewegbaren Sofateil und dem feststehenden Sofateil ermöglicht ein Schwenken des bewegbaren Sofateils um beispielsweise eine Ecke des feststehenden Sofateils herum. Zusätzlich ist die Schiebeführung der erfindungsgemäßen Schwenkmechanik so ausgebildet und angeordnet, dass sie das bewegbare Sofateil anhebt, wenn das bewegbare Sofateil in Abstand vom feststehenden Sofateil verschoben wird. Das bewegbare Sofateil wird dadurch in Schwebe gehalten, so dass es beim Verschwenken nicht auf einem Boden schleift. Dadurch werden Schleifspuren auf dem Boden vermieden.
