Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines tomographiefähigen bildgebenden Untersuchungsgeräts, insbesondere eines Röntgen-Computertomographiegeräts (1), mit welchem ein Untersuchungsobjekt (61) durchdringende oder in einem Untersuchungsobjekt (61) entstandene Wellen oder Strahlen (8) aus unterschiedlichen Richtungen bezüglich einer Systemachse (12) erfassbar sind und welches eine Computereinrichtung (31) zur Unterstützung seines Betriebs aufweist. Dabei wird zunächst durch eine Bedienperson ein gewünschtes Abtastvolumen (63) des Untersuchungsobjekts (61) festgelegt (F) und dann gesteuert von der Computereinrichtung (31) in dem Abtastvolumen ein Rohdatensatz mit unterschiedlichen Richtungen zugeordneten Daten ausgenommen (S). Die Computereinrichtung (31) berechnet (R) zum Zwecke der Planung der nachfolgenden Berechnung des Ergebnisbildes (71) - schritthaltend mit der Abtastung oder unmittelbar nach deren Beendigung - eine bildliche Übersichtsdarstellung (65) des Untersuchungsobjekts (61) aus den Rohdaten und bringt diese zur Anzeige (A). Die Übersichtsdarstellung (65) enthält eine dreidimensionale Information des Abtastvolumens (63). Die Bedienperson wählt (W) hierin einen befundungsrelevanten Darstellungsbereich (67) aus. Die Computereinrichtung (31) berechnet (B) mittels eines Bildberechnungsalgorithmus im ausgewählten Darstellungsbereich (67) ein befundungsrelevantes Ergebnisbild (71).
