Abstract

These modules are part of the design of many recording systems of physiological variables (vital signs monitors) manufactured in the world, and in modern electronic sphygmomanometers. The system combines hardware elements (physical design) and software (program assurance). The hardware elements: a computer, a data acquisition card connected to the computer's PCI slot, the data acquisition card interconnect box, and a signal conditioning circuit. The set of the above elements is responsible for transmitting electrical stimuli to the electronic module that is characterized, and receiving the respective electrical responses that it emits. The software elements ensure that the user can control the virtual instrument, changing the measurement parameters by means of the keyboard and mouse; and can display the measurement results through the monitor or a printer
