Abstract
本发明公开一种涂层制备技术,具体地说是两步法低温渗铬涂层及其制备方法和应用。渗铬涂层成分由渗入的铬和来自复合镀层金属M及少量稀土氧化物组成,其中稀土氧化物RexOy为Re=Ce、Y、La等,按质量份数计,渗铬涂层中表面层中铬含量为50~90份,其余为M和微量稀土元素氧化物,其中M来自M-RexOy复合镀层。制备过程如下:以金属Ni、Fe或Co、碳钢或低合金钢为基材,在基材上采用复合电镀方法制得纳米晶的M-RexOy复合镀层,然后在600℃~800℃扩散渗铬,获得稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层。本发明使传统渗铬工艺的温度由1000℃以上降低为600℃~800℃,且工艺简单,易于推广,涂层在高温下可热生长保护性的致密Cr2O3氧化膜,抗氧化好。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及涂层制备技术,具体地说是一种低温渗铬涂层及其制备方法和应用。
背景技术
用固体粉末法渗铬的基本原理是将工件埋入配制好的渗剂中,在氩气气氛中和一定温度下,保温一定时间,通过反应,使铬渗入工件表层。由于在高温氧化性腐蚀环境下,热生长的Cr2O3具有保护性能,因此通常在铁基、镍基等金属上发展渗铬涂层,以期在高温氧化时能形成Cr2O3保护性氧化膜。但是,目前应用固体粉末法渗铬的温度通常在1000℃以上,这样高的温度严重影响基材的组织结构和综合性能,例如晶粒粗化,强度和塑性变差。此外,这种工艺的高能耗也大大限制其发展,所以降低渗铬温度具有十分重要的工业应用价值。
发明内容
针对上述不足,本发明的目的是提供一种低温下制备渗铬涂层的方法及其应用,采用本发明渗铬涂层可以在700℃~800℃下生长Cr2O3保护性氧化膜,其工艺简单,可以降低渗铬温度。
本发明的技术方案如下:
一种低温渗铬涂层,其成分为共电沉积层中的M和稀土氧化物,以及渗入的铬元素,其中M可以为Ni、Fe、Co;涂层各元素的含量,按质量份数计,渗铬涂层中表面层铬的含量为50~90份,稀土氧化物4~8份,其余为M。
其制备方法是以金属Ni、Fe、Co、碳钢或低合金钢为基材,首先,利用电镀技术,实现M与稀土氧化物的共电沉积,制备出纳米晶复合镀层,即M-RexOy复合涂层(Re=Ce、Y或La),此镀层作为前驱体,其中推荐选择M与基体材料的主要组成元素一致,以避免或降低在高温服役环境下引起的渗铬涂层与基体的互扩散。复合电镀的镀液为硫酸盐体系(MSO4),共电沉积过程中通过多孔板以150rpm上下搅拌使稀土氧化物颗粒悬浮在镀液中,均匀沉积在试样表面;镀液温度为25~35℃,电流密度为1~3A/dm2,电镀时间为1.5~2小时,镀层中的稀土氧化物含量为4~8质量份数。其次,固体粉末法渗铬,按质量份数计,渗剂配方为:45~50份铬粉(100~200目),50~45份Al2O3粉(100~200目),4-6份NH4Cl。工艺为:升温到600℃~800℃,保温5小时,随炉冷却,整个渗铬过程中以400~500ml/min的速度通入氩气,以防氧化。
本发明基本原理如下:电镀制备的复合镀层为纳米晶组织,其中丰富的晶界为Cr的扩散提供了快速扩散通道,增加了Cr在低温下的扩散能力,所以使渗铬温度由传统的1000℃以上降低为600℃~800℃。本发明制备的稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层,其中:在700~800℃下,确保热生长连续的保护性Cr2O3氧化膜。同时,涂层中由于掺入稀土氧化物,它能提高其抗高温氧化性能。
渗铬过程可以被分为四个步骤,其中最慢的,受温度影响最大的步骤就是沉积在表面的Cr原子通过固相扩散向里渗入的过程,所以为了增加Cr在低温下的固相扩散能力,通过预先复合电镀,在基材表面获得纳米晶的复合镀层,其丰富的晶界可以大大增加Cr的扩散能力。所获得的纳米晶复合镀层为M-RexOy,M为Ni、Fe或Co,RexOy为稀土氧化物CeO2、Y2O3或La2O3,这种表层获得的无碳纳米晶组织,避免了碳与Cr的结合而阻碍Cr的向内扩散,然后在600℃~800℃渗铬,同时也将稀土氧化物RexOy(Re=Ce、Y或La)加入到了渗铬涂层中形成了稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层。该涂层可在700℃~800℃下热生长连续的、致密的保护性Cr2O3氧化膜。此外,在前驱体上获得的涂层也避免了传统碳钢渗铬中一些有害相(Cr3C6、σ-FeCr)的形成,这些有害相常常降低涂层的抗氧化能力。
本发明的优点如下:
1.渗铬温度大大降低。本发明采用了二步法,预先获得的涂层为纳米晶组织,其丰富的晶界增加了渗铬过程中铬的扩散,从而使温度降低,温度的降低减小了渗铬过程中对基体金属组织和性能的损伤。
2.能形成Cr2O3保护性氧化膜。与现有技术中的Cr2O3保护性氧化膜相比,本发明的渗铬涂层中的Cr含量以质量份数计达到50~90份。该含量确保涂层在开始氧化时就生长保护性Cr2O3氧化膜,并且涂层中有足够的铬元素向外扩散来维持Cr2O3氧化膜的稳定生长。添加稀土氧化物,可使氧化膜更致密,生长速度明显降低。采用本发明制备的渗铬涂层可在700℃~800℃下能够热生长连续的、致密的保护性Cr2O3氧化膜。以本发明的一种CeO2改性的渗铬涂层为例,与分别在一种粗晶Ni表面直接渗铬以及在低碳钢上预先沉积单Ni镀层后在相同条件下渗铬获得的两种渗铬涂层的氧化性能作比较,试验结果表明:本发明CeO2改性的渗铬涂层在700℃氧化40小时后,与没有添加稀土氧化物的涂层相比,氧化增重明显降低。
3.工艺简单、成熟,成本低。本发明采用固体粉末法渗铬,温度的降低节约了能耗,而且渗剂可重复利用,成本较低,且操作简单,对工件形状的要求很低,因此,应用范围很广。

具体实施方式
下面结合附图和实施例详述本发明。
实施例
本实施例以在低碳钢上先Ni-CeO2复合电镀,然后扩散渗铬制备CeO2改性的渗铬涂层为例:
稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层的成分:表面层铬含量为50-90份,其成分从表面到内部为逐渐减少的分布变化状态。氧化物CeO2为4-8份,余量为M(Ni、Fe或Co),来自复合镀层;
其制备方法是:采用复合电镀技术制备M-稀土氧化物复合涂层。M为Ni、Fe或Co,一般选与基体材料主要组元相同的元素。基体材料为抗氧化性能较差的Fe、Ni、Co、碳钢、合金钢,常用的硫酸盐体系(MSO4)镀液。本实施例选用Ni低温中性硫酸盐镀液,制备Ni-CeO2复合镀层,然后在其上渗铬,分别制备CeO2改性的渗铬涂层。其流程如下:
基材金属碳钢—表面打磨至800#水砂纸—表面超声清洗—在含CeO2的镀镍槽液中进行复合电镀—获得Ni-CeO2纳米晶复合镀层—渗铬—获得CeO2改性的渗铬涂层。
本发明的关键是电镀时保持CeO2颗粒悬浮在槽液中,电镀时控制工艺和渡液成分保证获得纳米晶,渗铬时控制配方及工艺。本实施例采用传统的复合电镀设施及固体粉末法渗铬设施来制备。具体如下:
1)取碳钢为基材,加工成15×10×2mm尺寸的试样,经水磨砂纸磨至800#砂纸,在丙酮中超声清洗;
2)选用的纳米尺寸的CeO2粉,纳米尺寸为5~50纳米。颗粒先浸泡在十二烷基硫酸钠溶液中,以便颗粒分散,避免团聚;
3)电镀液采用低温型镀液,成分如下:NiSO47H2O 150g/l,NH4Cl 15g/l,H3BO315g/l,十二烷基硫酸钠0.1g/l;配置的溶液经过充分搅拌后过滤,放置24小时;溶液pH值在5.4~5.6范围可使用;
4)共电沉积过程采用板泵式装置搅拌镀液,以保证镀液中稀土氧化物颗粒悬浮在镀液中,均匀沉积在试样表面;镀液温度为30℃,电流密度为1A/dm2,搅拌速度为150rpm。电镀时间为2小时,试样平均镀层厚度为30μm,CeO2复合量为4~8份质量份数;
5)然后渗铬。渗铬剂的配方为(按质量份数计):50份铬粉(200目),45份Al2O3粉(200目),5份NH4Cl(试剂尺寸)。工艺为:随炉升温到700℃和600℃保温5小时,随炉冷却,整个渗铬过程中以400ml/min速度通入氩气;
6)试样取出后在蒸馏水中煮20分钟。
渗铬前的晶粒度
从图1-a看出,粗Ni的晶粒尺寸平均为20μm,从图1-b、1-c看出单镍镀层和Ni-稀土氧化物复合镀层均为纳米晶。
700℃渗铬后的截面组织
渗铬后的截面组织如图2-a、2-b、2-c,从图2-a中看出,粗Ni渗层看上去不太明显,厚度大约是5μm。从图2-b中,可以看出单镍镀层上的渗铬层厚度约10μm。在图2-c中,Ni-CeO2复合镀层上的渗铬层厚度约20μm。对于图2-a、图2-c来说,渗铬层厚度的明显差异是由于复合镀层的纳米晶结构增加了Cr的扩散能力。而对于图2-b、图2-c来说,Ni-CeO2复合镀层上的渗铬层厚度的增加是由于CeO2粒子在渗铬过程中延迟了Ni纳米晶粒的长大,从而增加了Cr的扩散能力。从形貌上来看,Ni-CeO2复合镀层上的渗铬层有孔洞,这是由于CeO2粒子在晶界处团聚,这些位置在腐刻时较快,形成孔洞(图1-c)。
图3为粗Ni渗铬、单镍镀层上渗铬、Ni-稀土氧化物复合镀层上渗铬后铬沿截面上的浓度分布,可以看出添加了CeO2的渗层的铬含量高于单镍镀层上和粗Ni上的铬含量,且深度增加。
700℃渗铬涂层在700℃的抗氧化性能
氧化实验在实验室环境下进行,氧化温度为700℃,氧化40小时。氧化后三种试样均未剥落。图4为氧化的重量变化曲线,其中添加CeO2的涂层氧化增重最少,抗氧化性能最好。图5为氧化后的XRD分析,表明在单镍镀层上和复合镀层上均主要由Cr2O3组成,而粗Ni上主要由NiO和NiCr2O4组成。图6-a、6-b、6-c为氧化后试样的表面形貌(其中右边为左边部分区域的放大图)。粗Ni渗铬涂层氧化后表面很不平整(图6-a),EDS结果表明单镍镀层上氧化后大部分区域(1)为富Ni氧化物,少部分区域(2)为富Cr的氧化物。相反的,单镍镀层和复合镀层上氧化后的表面较平整,对比高倍像,我们可以发现CeO2改性的渗铬层氧化后表面晶粒细小(图6-c),这结果说明CeO2的存在对氧化膜的生长有明显影响。三种涂层的氧化后的截面形貌如图7-a、7-b、7-c所示(其中右边为左边部分区域的放大图)。粗Ni渗铬层氧化后的氧化层(图7-a)很不均匀,有些位置很厚,有些位置很薄。从图7-b、7-c可以看出在单镍镀层渗铬涂层上和在复合镀层渗铬层上已经形成了一层连续、致密的Cr2O3保护膜。而且,Ni-CeO2复合镀层上的氧化层更薄,不过,涂层中有许多小坑,CeO2颗粒处于小坑内,如前所述这是蚀刻后留下的腐蚀坑。
600℃渗铬后的截面组织
600℃渗铬后的截面组织如图8所示,对比700℃渗铬后的截面组织,由于温度的降低,渗铬层的厚度有所降低。而在此温度下,单Ni镀层与粗Ni渗铬后渗层厚度几乎为零,只是在表面沉积了一层浓度约为30%(重量)的Cr原子。
600℃渗铬涂层在800℃的抗氧化性能
氧化实验在实验室环境下进行,氧化温度为800℃,氧化时间为10小时。图9为氧化的重量变化曲线,可以看出本发明即添加CeO2的涂层氧化增重最少,抗氧化性能最好。
本发明的CeO2改性的渗铬涂层,可作为抗高温氧化或腐蚀的防护涂层,用于800℃及800℃以下抗氧化性能较差的铁素体或奥氏体钢材,以及金属Ni、Co、Fe等的抗氧化或腐蚀的涂层。并且,该改性涂层可望用与燃煤锅炉、气化炉、垃圾焚烧炉内相关部件环境温度在800℃以下的用碳钢和低合金钢制造的管道(例如水冷壁管、蒸发管、换热管等)的防护涂层。

1.一种低温渗铬涂层,其特征在于:其成分由渗入的铬和来自复合镀层金属M及稀土氧化物组成,其中M为Ni、Fe或Co,稀土氧化物RexOy为CeO2、Y2O3或La2O3;按质量份数计,渗铬涂层中表面层铬含量为50~90份,稀土氧化物4~8份,其余为M。
2.按照权利要求1所述的低温渗铬涂层的制备方法,其特征在于涂层的制备分为先后两个步骤:
1)以金属Ni、Fe或Co,碳钢或低合金钢为基材,在基材上预先用共电沉积的方法通过加入稀土氧化物RexOy制备M-RexOy纳米晶复合镀层,此镀层作为前驱体;
2)然后用固体粉末包埋法在M-RexOy纳米晶复合镀层上渗铬,制得稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层。
3.按照权利要求2所述的低温渗铬涂层的制备方法,其特征在于:所述步骤1)的M-RexOy复合镀层中,M为Ni、Fe或Co,RexOy为稀土氧化物CeO2、Y2O3或La2O3;按质量份数计,稀土氧化物4~8份,其余为M。
4.按照权利要求2所述的低温渗铬涂层的制备方法,其特征在于:所述步骤1)共电沉积过程中通过搅拌使稀土氧化物颗粒悬浮在镀液中,均匀沉积在试样表面;镀液温度为25~35℃,电流密度为1~3A/dm2,电镀时间为1.5~2小时。
5.按照权利要求2所述的低温渗铬涂层的制备方法,其特征在于:所述步骤2)在M-RexOy复合镀层上渗铬后获得稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层,按质量份数计,表面层Cr含量50~90份,稀土氧化物含量为4~8份。
6.按照权利要求2所述的低温渗铬涂层的制备方法,其特征在于:按质量份数计,渗铬过程中采用的渗剂配方为:45~50份铬粉,50~45份Al2O3粉,4-6份NH4Cl;工艺参数为:升温到600℃~800℃,保温4~8小时,随炉冷却即可;整个渗铬过程中在氩气保护性气氛中进行。
7.按照权利要求2所述的低温渗铬涂层的制备方法,其特征在于:选择M与基体材料的主要组成元素一致。
8.一种低温渗铬涂层的应用,其特征在于:所述稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层作为温度在800℃以下的氧化性腐蚀气氛下碳钢、低合金钢或不锈钢的防护涂层。
9.一种低温渗铬涂层的应用,其特征在于:所述稀土氧化物改性的渗铬涂层作为抗高温氧化或腐蚀的防护涂层,用于燃煤锅炉、气化炉、垃圾焚烧炉内相关部件环境温度在800℃以下的碳钢和低合金钢制造的管道的防护涂层。
