The invention discloses a method, a device and a computer for clearing a password, wherein an advanced password with higher priority is additionally arranged on the basis of a basic password and stored in a fixed area of an NVRAM (non-volatile random access memory), when a user forgets the basic password, the permission for clearing the basic password can be obtained by inputting the advanced password, the operation is simple and convenient, the whole process is realized in a software mode, the operation of clearing the basic password by the user is convenient, and the advanced password is stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM and has read-only performance, so that the safety is higher.

At present, in consideration of computer security, a Basic password is often set in a BIOS (Basic Input Output System), and when a computer is powered on, a user is prompted to Input the set Basic password. In consideration of computer security, a user usually sets a basic password for a computer, and in consideration of the fact that the user may forget the basic password or the user needs to clear the basic password, the user needs to be provided with the right to clear the basic password to ensure normal use of the computer. In order to solve the above problem, the present solution additionally sets a high-level password with higher priority stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM on the basis of the basic password, when the user forgets the basic password or needs to clear the basic password, the BIOS chip 22 receives the high-level password input by the user, and when the BIOS chip 22 determines that the high-level password input by the user is consistent with the high-level password preset and stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM, the permission to clear the basic password is provided to the user.
It should be noted that the applicable scenario of the present scheme includes computers within an enterprise, and therefore, in consideration of security of computers within the enterprise, the advanced password of the enterprise should be a password with high security, and only a few people usually know that, for example, when employees of the enterprise forget the basic password or need to clear the basic password, a manager within the enterprise, who knows the advanced password, needs to input the advanced password on the computer to obtain the authority to clear the basic password, thereby facilitating overall management of the enterprise on the computers and enhancing security and reliability of the computers within the enterprise.
It should be noted that the fixed area of the NVRAM herein has read-only property, so the advanced password stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM cannot be modified by the user, and can only be modified by means of rewriting the BIOS program.
In summary, according to the method for clearing the password provided by the present invention, on the basis of the basic password, an advanced password with a higher priority is additionally set and stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM, when the user forgets the basic password, the user can obtain the permission to clear the basic password by inputting the advanced password, the operation is simple and convenient, the whole process is realized by a software manner, the operation of clearing the basic password by the user is facilitated, and the advanced password is stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM, and has read-only performance, so that the security is higher.

In this embodiment, considering that there may be multiple enterprises or users using the same BIOS, different enterprises or users may have their own advanced passwords, and thus the advanced password stored in the fixed area of the NVRAM is also plural, in the present invention, when the computer is started, whether the corresponding advanced password is activated or not is detected, and when the corresponding advanced password is not activated, the user is prompted to enter an activation password, and when the activation password entered by the user is consistent with one of the high-level passwords of the fixed area of the NVRAM, the activation is successful and the activation password entered by the user is used as the high-level password for the computer and the subsequent power-on action is performed, when the activation password input by the user is inconsistent with all high-level passwords in the fixed area of the NVRAM, judging that the activation fails, and prompting the user to input the activation password again; when detecting that the computer has activated the corresponding advanced password, the computer directly executes the boot-up action. The mode can achieve the purpose of general use of the BIOS, and the realization mode is simple and convenient without reducing the safety.

receiving a high-level password input by a user;

and clearing the basic password when receiving a basic password clearing instruction sent by a user through the window for clearing the basic password.
7. The method for clearing a password according to claim 6, further comprising, after clearing the basic password upon receiving a command to clear the basic password from a user through the window of whether to clear the basic password, the step of:
calling a window for prompting a user whether to reset the basic password;
calling a basic password setting window when a basic password resetting instruction sent by a user through the window for resetting the basic password is received;
and receiving and storing a new basic password set by the user through the basic password setting window.
8. The method for clearing a password according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein before receiving the input password input by the user, the method further comprises:
receiving a computer starting instruction;
prompting a user to input an activation password when a high-level password in a BIOS chip on the computer is not activated;
receiving the activation password input by a user;
if the activation password exists in the fixed area of the NVRAM, taking the activation password as a high-level password in a BIOS chip of the computer and executing a boot-up action;
and executing the boot-up action when the high-level password in the BIOS chip on the computer is activated.
9. An apparatus for clearing a password, comprising:
a memory for storing a computer program;
a BIOS chip for executing the computer program to implement the steps of the method for clearing a password as described in any one of above 1 to 8.
10. A computer comprising the apparatus for clearing a password of claim 9.
