Plug contact for electrical apparatus. The Steok contacts used up to now for electrical apparatus have brass pins which are made resilient by slitting. These pins are inserted into metal sleeves for the purpose of contact.
These pens are known to lose springiness and gradually burn due to the heating to which they are subjected. This scorching can become so strong that a layer forms between the sleeve and the pin and the same can hardly be separated. Under these circumstances, the electrical apparatus provided with the plug-in contacts will also fail.
The present invention relates to a plug contact in which the above-mentioned deficiencies are eliminated. This plug contact has at least one pair of detachable contact organs and the characteristic compared to the known ones is that the contact organs are held against one another by means of a spring force, and thus allow small movements of the plug contacts carrying them to one another with rubbing against one another at the points of contact. for the purpose of keeping the conductive contact surfaces clean by rubbing against each other.
The drawing represents an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section, and Fig. 2 is a side view of the Steckkon tact used for irons.
It is a the housing of a plug contact part. This is made of an isolate the material, e.g. B. porcelain. The contact springs b are mounted in this housing by means of the pins k. The contact springs engage with their bent ends g over the rigid contact pins c. These are separated from each other by the insulating piece d and firmly mounted on the iron. By means of the screws o the ends of the heating resistor can be clamped to the eyelets e of the pins c; The ends of the cord are connected to springs b by means of the screws.
The upper plug contact part is detachably held on the handle of the iron by means of the eyebolt h. The hole in the housing for the eyebolt h is so large that when the iron is used, the housing can make certain movements with respect to the lower plug contact parts after several looks, but parts 7i and c remain in permanent contact.
As a result of the vibrations, constant friction arises at the point of contact, whereby the contacts are freed from the formation of veins and always remain clean.
