Switching device for temperature regulation The invention relates to a switching device for temperature regulation for electrical heating devices, in particular for .electric hotplates, with an electrically heated, pivotable switch bimetal for actuating a switch .and with a bendable bimetal parallel to the Schaubimetall in the same direction ,
Pivotably mounted and spaced from this compensation bimetal to compensate for the ambient temperature, the switching and the compensation bimetal being attached to the same side.
In a known switching device for temperature regulation for electric heating and cooking plates, Idas heated bimetallic element is attached on one side and the Kompeäsationsbünetall on the other side of a swiveling block.
A stop acts on the free end of the heated bimetal switch, which can be moved by means of a manually adjustable cam rail. At the free end of this compensation bimetal there is a cam that acts on the switching spring of a snap switch.
If a switching device constructed in this way occurs once that its ambient temperature z.
B. rises above normal values due to defective thermal insulation or other circumstances, then the compensation b: imetall as a belly the .switching bimetal can already be deflected so far that the actual electrical B:
eheating causes an overload or no further bending of the switch bimetal to switch off the heater. This can destroy the bimetal or the heater and endanger the environment.
The task of the invention is to remedy the aforementioned deficiency, and it is solved by
that the switch bimetal is pivotably mounted on its own and has a pin standing on the compensation bimetal at its free end, and that on the compensation bimetal from the contact point of the pin after: a certain distance in the direction of displacement desolate: pin towards the: switch bimetal Do the sloping part: is.
In order to be able to precisely set the point of support of the pin: on the compensation pearmetal opposite the bearing point or the rising part, according to an advantageous further development of the invention, the pin is eccentric and rotatably supported in the case of a switching bimetallic.
The invention will be explained using the drawings of an exemplary embodiment described below.
A switching bimetal 1 is pivotable on an axis 2 b. and has an electrical heating coil 3. Near ider axis 2, the switching bimetal 1 carries a conical pin 4 for actuating a snap switch 5, while at the free end an insulating piece 6 is rotatably attached, in which an eccentrically arranged,
is used on the free end of a Kompensationsbimetalls 7 upright Stilft 8. The compensation bimetal 7 runs approximately parallel to the Schaltbime tall 1 and is pivotable about a shaft 10 via a connecting element 9.
The compensation bimetal has at a fixed distance an obliquely rising part 11 which points towards the switching bimetal and which is preferably punched out of the compensation bimetal 7 and bent over.
The connecting element 9 is connected via an adjusting screw 12 and a swivel member 13 to a manually adjustable cam disk 14 for setting the target temperature, with a rotating field 15 being the operative connection:
maintains. This torsion spring 15 is to be designed so strong that it is not overcome by the contact pressure of the switching bimetal 1 on the compensation bimetal 7.
The remaining parts essentially represent a time switch, by means of which the electrical heating of the switching bimetal 1 can be weakened for a certain time.
The mode of operation d, i - s! He switching device constructed according to the invention for temperature regulation is as follows, based on the cold state shown:
If the switching bimetal 1 is heated via its heating coil 3, then it arches due to its support on the compensation bimetal around b2 activates the snap switch 5.If the ambient temperature rises, the switching bimetal 1 also bends,
however, this deflection is compensated for by the compensation bimetal 7 deflecting in the same direction. Depending on the level of the ambient temperature, the contact point of the pin 8 moves towards the sloping part 11 due to the different pivot points of the two bimetals.
The distance from the point of support to the point of attachment of the part 11 at low ambient temperatures is determined by the path that the pin 8 travels on the compensation bimetal 7 up to the highest permissible ambient temperature.
If this highest ambient temperature order is exceeded, then the pin 8 comes into engagement with the part 11, which cancels the compensation effect of the compensation bimetal 7 or even overcompensates. This now ensures reliable protection of the heating device to be monitored even in the event of unpredictable influences, because it is then switched off.
The pin 8 is arranged eccentrically in order to be able to adjust it to its predetermined contact point with respect to the part 11. For this purpose, an identification groove 16 is preferably incorporated into the 7.
