Description

Towing device for automobiles The invention is a Abschleppvor device for automobiles.

Towing devices are known in various designs, but none in a way that is simple and reliable to use.

The purpose of the invention is to provide a solution to the problem that eliminates the prevailing difficulties.

The invention consists in a swiveling and height-adjustable loading fork on the towing vehicle to take on a pair of wheels of the towing vehicle.

An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.

A loading fork is in the horizontal as in the vertical plane on camp 1, respectively. 7 to compensate for curves and bumps in the ground pivoted on the train vehicle. Changes in the position of the fork in relation to the vehicle to be towed in the direction of travel are compensated for by the wheel bearings of the loaded vehicle 10. These three compensation options guarantee a safe connection between the towing vehicle and the towed vehicle.

So that the standing depth of the wheels of the vehicle to be towed 10 on the fork arms 2 and 3 can be adapted to the different wheel sizes, the loose fork arms 2 and their carriers 6 are adjustable in the longitudinal direction via receiving elements 4 and 5 compared to the fixed fork arms 3.

This adjustment is necessary so that the vehicle cannot roll out of the fork due to the effect of the braking and acceleration forces.

So that the loading of the towing vehicle on the loading fork as easy as possible who can do the, the fork on the pivot arm 8 by means of lifting device 9 can be lowered to the ground. The Ga belarme 2 are then removed, the vehicle 10 to be towed is advanced to the fork arms 3 and the arms 2 are inserted again. Then the loaded fork is brought into towing position by means of the lifting device.
