In ein Bett umwandelbares Sofa Die Erfindung betrifft ein in ein Bett umwan delbares Sofa, bei welchem die Rückenlehne mit dessen Sitz in eine Ebene gebracht werden kann. Bei den bekannten Sofas dieser Art ist eine verhältnis mässig komplizierte und entsprechend teure Konstruk tion vorgesehen, um die Rückenlehne mit dem Sitz in eine Ebene zu bringen und es dadurch in ein Bett umzuwandeln. Zur Vermeidung dieses Nachteiles zeichnet sich das Sofa nach der Erfindung dadurch aus, dass der Sitz und die Rückenlehne durch Bügel miteinander verbunden sind, die einerseits starr mit der Rückenlehne und anderseits gelenkig mit dem Sitz verbunden sind, wobei die Bügel derart geformt sind,
dass bei einer Verschwenkungslage der Bügel die Rückenlehne sich in der für den Gebrauch des Möbels als Sofa erforderlichen Lage befindet, bei einer anderen, dem Gebrauch des Möbels als Bett entsprechenden Verschwenkungslage ein Teil des Bügels dagegen in einer Parallelebene zum Sitz liegt, und dass in beiden Lagen die Bügel zum Abstützen des Sitzes auf dem Fussboden dienen.
Während bei den bekannten Umwandlungssofas der Sitz stets horizontal ist, ist es leicht möglich, das Sofa nach der Erfindung so auszubilden, dass der Sitz in der Sofa-Gebrauchslage nach hinten abwärts ge neigt ist, was den Sitzkomfort bedeutend erhöht.
In der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist ein Ausfüh rungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt: Es ist: Fig. 1 eine Seitenansicht eines Sofas, Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 1, Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht des in ein Bett umgewan delten Sofas und Fig. 4 ein Querschnitt eines Teiles des Sofas in grösserem Massstabe.
Das dargestellte Sofa weist einen Sitz 1 und eine Rückenlehne 2 auf, die durch zwei Bügel 3 aus Stahl- rohr miteinander verbunden sind. Der Bügel 3 weist einen Schenkel 4 auf, der mit dem Bügeljoch 5 einen Winkel von 90 bildet. Auf seiner anderen Seite geht das Bügeljoch unter einem Winkel von ungefähr 75 in einen Schenkel 6 über, der mit einem etwas nach innen abgebogenen Ende 6a versehen ist. Das äussere Ende des Schenkels 4 ist mit der Rückenlehne 2 starr verbunden und unter einem Winkel von 9011 auf die hintere Fläche dieser Rückenlehne gerichtet.
Das Ende 6a des Schenkels 6 ist dagegen mittels eines Zapfens 7 am Sitz 1 angelenkt. Ferner sind am Sitz 1 zwei Stahlrohrbeine 8 starr befestigt, die senk recht zur unteren Fläche des Sitzes 1 stehen und deren unteres Ende abgerundet ist. Dieses untere Ende kann gegebenenfalls mit einem Gummifuss oder dergleichen versehen sein.
Gemäss Fig. 4 weist der Sitz 1 unten ein Brett 9 auf, auf welchem eine Polsterung angebracht ist, die in der Zeichnung durch den Überzug 10 verdeckt ist. Durch einen Schlitz 11 des Brettes 9 ragt ein eine Nische bildender Blechkasten 12, der mittels Holz schrauben 13 am Brett 9 befestigt ist. Das Schenkel ende 6a ragt in den Blechkasten 12 hinein, und der Gelenkzapfen 7 ist in den beiden zueinander paralle len Wänden 14 des Blechkastens 12 gelagert. Das Schenkelende 6a selbst weist ein äusseres Rohrstück 15 auf, welches auf das Ende des den Bügel 3 bilden den Rohres gesteckt ist. Der Zapfen 7 geht nur durch das Rohrstück 15 hindurch.
Der Querschnitt des Blechkastens 12 hat die Form eines ungleichschenkligen Trapezes, wobei an der dem kürzeren Trapezschenkel entsprechenden Kastenwand 16 ein Gummianschlag 17 und an dem längeren Trapezschenkel entsprechenden Kastenwand 18 ein Gummianschlag 19 befestigt ist. In der in Fig. 4 dargestellten Lage des Bügels 3, welche mit der Lage der Bügel 3 in Fig. 1 und 2 übereinstimmt, schlägt das Schenkelende 6a am Anschlag 17 an. In dieser Lage, in welcher das Möbel ein Sofa dar stellt, ruht jeder der beiden Bügel 3 mit der von seinem Schenkel 6 und seinem Joch 5 gebildeten Ecke 19 auf dem Fussboden.
Der Sitz 1 ist in diesem Falle nicht horizontal, sondern nach hinten abwärts geneigt, wie es zum Sitzen besonders bequem ist. Die Rückenlehne 2 ist ebenfalls zur Vertikalebene und zum Sitz 1 so geneigt, dass man sich sehr be quem an dieselbe anlehnen kann.
Um das Sofa nach Fig. 1 und 2 in ein Bett zu verwandeln, genügt es, die Bügel 3 um die Zapfen 7 im Uhrzeigersinne von Fig. 1, und von Fig. 4, so zu verschwenken, dass die Schenkelenden 6a auf die An schläge zu liegen kommen.
Dadurch kommt die Rückenlehne 2 in dieselbe Ebene zu liegen wie der Sitz 1, und zwar ist diese Ebene horizontal. In dieser, in Fig. 3 dargestellten Lage stellt das Möbel ein Bett dar. Die Bügel 3 ruhen jetzt je mit ihrem ganzen Joch 5 auf dem Boden und die Beine 8 sowie die Schenkel 4 der Bügel, die gleich lang sind wie diese Beine 8, stehen auf dem Boden senkrecht. Die Querschnitte des Sit zes 1 und der Rückenlehne 2 sind komplementär, das heisst, dass sie sich zu einem Querschnitt mit zwei parallelen Seiten ergänzen, wie dies aus Fig. 2 her vorgeht. Die Länge des Sofas bzw. des Bettes kann z. B. 185 cm betragen, während die Breite der durch den Sitz 1 und die Rückenlehne 2 gebildeten Ruhe fläche im Falle von Fig. 3 z.
B. 120 cm betragen kann, wobei selbstverständlich diese Masse auch grö sser oder kleiner gewählt werden können.
Gegenüber bekannten in Betten umwandelbaren Sofas weist das beschriebene Sofa den Vorteil einer ausserordentlichen, einfachen Konstruktion auf. Fer ner ist der Sitz 1 bei Verwendung als Sofa in vor teilhafter Weise geneigt und kommt erst bei der Um wandlung des Möbels in ein Bett in die dann erfor derliche Horizontallage. Ausserdem hat das Möbel in beiden Gebrauchslagen ein sehr gefälliges Aussehen.

The sofa shown has a seat 1 and a backrest 2, which are connected to one another by two brackets 3 made of tubular steel. The bracket 3 has a leg 4 which forms an angle of 90 with the bracket yoke 5. On its other side, the yoke merges at an angle of approximately 75 into a leg 6 which is provided with an end 6a which is bent slightly inward. The cross-section of the sheet metal box 12 has the shape of a trapezoid with unequal legs, a rubber stop 17 being attached to the box wall 16 corresponding to the shorter trapezoid leg and a rubber stop 19 being attached to the box wall 18 corresponding to the longer trapezoid leg. In the position of the bracket 3 shown in FIG. 4, which corresponds to the position of the bracket 3 in FIGS. 1 and 2, the leg end 6a strikes the stop 17. In this position, in which the furniture is a sofa, each of the two brackets 3 rests with the corner 19 formed by its leg 6 and its yoke 5 on the floor.
The seat 1 is not horizontal in this case, but inclined backwards downwards, as it is particularly comfortable for sitting. The backrest 2 is also inclined to the vertical plane and to the seat 1 so that you can lean very be quem on the same.
