Description

Device for fixing a pendulum movement in his cabinet. The object of the present invention is a device for fixing the pendulum in his cabinet. This device is characterized by a disc fixed to the plate of the movement and which comprises a threaded boss giving pitch to the axes of the hands, and intended to engage @ through an opening in the front wall of the cabinet and by a nut. screwing on said boss to clamp the aforementioned wall between itself and the disc.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention, applied to an electric pendulum.

The fi-. 1 is a rear elevation; Fig. 2 is an elevation, on a larger scale, of the movement seen from the front, separated from the cabinet; Fig. 3 is a partial vertical section passing through the axis of this movement.

The dry battery 1 is housed in the lower part of the cabinet 2; an electro 3 is automatically connected to its terminals each time the movement needs to be wound up. This movement is enclosed in a housing 4 of insulating material carrying the socket outlets 5 and closed by a cover 6 screwed onto it.

The back of this case is fixed by screws 7 on the front plate 8 of the movement, and it has a large opening which allows the support 9 to be applied directly against this plate 8.

The support 9 consists of a metal disc, fixed to the plate 8 by screws 10 and bearing in its center a threaded boss 11 which passes freely through a central opening in the front wall 1.2 of the cabinet 2.

This boss receives a washer 13 and a nut 14 which makes it possible to strongly tighten the support 9 against the wall 12 and, consequently, to firmly fix the movement inside the cabinet.

The boss 11 is perforated and gives pitch to the axes '15 and 16 carrying respectively the minute hand 17 and the hour hand 18. It should be understood that this fixing device can be applied to all kinds of pendulums, electric or no, and that we can, without departing from the invention, vary the shape of the support 9, as well as the size of the projection of the boss 11 according to the thickness of the front wall of the cabinet and possibly. that of a dial attached to this wall, etc.
