Description
02N ~ X-OH (I) ~ R

phényl-2 ~thanol-l;
- l'[amino-3,~-hydroxyéthylamino-2,nitro-5]

- le (diamino-2,3,nitro-5)phényl-1 propanol-2;
R' R' R' The present invention relates to new amino-2, nitro-4, hydroxyalkyl-6 anilines, to their process of preparation as well as their use in dyeing vibers keratin, and more particularly human hair.
It is well known that to give hair direct coloring or additional reflections in the case of oxidation coloring, d ~ rivés can be used - nitrates from the benzene series. We have already recommended the use of tion of nitro-orthophenylene-diamines such as more particularly amino-2, nitro-4, alkyl-6 anilines both in direct dyeing than oxidation dyeing.
However, there was a general finding insufficient stability to light and washing dyes. The Applicant therefore sought new dyes with better light stability and washing, and that's how she discovered new 2-amino, 4-nitro, 6-hydroxyalkyl anilines.
More specifically, the new compounds according to the invention correspond to the general formula:

The compositions can be thickened preferably.
this with compounds chosen from sodium alginate, gum arabic, cellulose derivatives such as ~ ethylcell methylcellulose, hydroethylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose and various polymers having the function of thickener such as more particularly acrylic acid derivatives. It is also possible to use mineral thickeners such as bentonite. These thickening agents are present from preferably in the proportions between 0.5 and 10 ~
by weight and in particular between 0.5 and 2% by weight, by relative to the total weight of the composition.
The compositions according to the invention can also contain various adjuvants commonly used in dye compositions for hair and in particular penetrating agents, dispersing agents, agents ~ 25868 ~
sequestering agents, film-forming agents, buffers and perfumes.
These compositions can be presented in various forms such as liquid, cream, gel or any another suitable form for dyeing the hair.
They can also be packaged in aerosol cans.
in the presence of a propellant.
The pH of these dye compositions can be between 3 and 11.5, preferably between 5 and 11.5. We adjusts it to the desired value using an alkaline agent such as ammonia, sodium carbonate, potassium sium or ammonium, sodium or potassium hydroxides, alkanolamines such as mono, di- or triethano-lamin, 2-amino-2-methyl-propanol-1, 2-amino-2-methyl-2 1,3-propanediol, alkylamines such as ethylamine or triethylamine or using an acidifying agent such as that phosphoric, hydrochloric, tartaric acids, -acetic, lactic or citric.
When the compositions are intended to be used in a direct hair coloring process, they may contain, in addition to compounds conforming to the invention, other direct dyes such as colo-azo or anthraquinone rants, such as tetra-amino-1,4,5,8 anthraquinone, indophenols, indoanilines, and nitro dyes from the benzene series different from the compounds of formula (I).
The concentrations of these other direct dyes that the dyes of formula (I) can be between 0.001 and 5% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
