Abstract
Una masa de partículas de polímero de poliéster que comprende polímero de poliéster que comprenden más de 75% de polímero de poliéster virgen, las partículas poseen: A) una V.I. de por lo menos 0,72 dl/g; y B) 10 ppm o menos de acetaldehído residual; y C) por lo menos dos picos de fusion, en donde uno de dichos por lo menos dos picos de fusion es un Punto de Fusion de pico bajo dentro de un rango de 140sC hasta 220sC y posee un área endotérmica de fusion de por lo menos el valor absoluto de 1 J/g. Las partículas podrían poseer asimismo un grado de cristalinidad dentro de un rango de 20% y un grado máximo de cristalinidad Tcmax definido por la ecuacion; Tcmax = 50%-CA-OH; donde CA es el % total en moles de todos los residuos de ácido carboxílico que no sean residuos de ácido tereftálico, basados en 100% en moles de residuos de ácido carboxílico, y OH en el % total en moles de todos los residuos de compuestos con funcionalidad hidroxilo que no sean residuos de etilenglicol, basados en 100% en moles de residuos de compuestos con funcionalidad hidroxilo. Las preformas y botellas elaboradas a partir de estas partículas pueden obtenerse mediante el procesamiento por fusion de estas partículas tanto a una energía total inferior, velocidades mayores de husillo, tiempo de residencia inferior, como a un tiempo del ciclo total inferior para con lo cual reducir el nivel de acetaldehído residual generado en el material fundido.
